Kelvan watched as his superior officer walked off. A few
seconds later, he walked up to LtCmdr Edwards again.
"Excuse me Commander," Kelvan said. "Was there anything specific
that you wanted me to do in the meantime? Or should I work off
the outstanding work order database?"

"Thank you." The ginger haired female stated before heading to
the counselor's chair and taking a seat. "Just to note ma'm Sick
Bay is ready for departure."
Reava would remain seated until the Captain was available,
watching and listening as the First Officer ordered for the
course to be set for Andoria. What sort of challenges awaited
them there, no one could say. Reava hoped that she could find
out what was ailing the Lieutenant. At least it wasn't a
parasite, that much she was able to determine but at the same
time that worried her as it could be a disease that might spread
to others and so placed the Lieutenant in containment. Best to
be too cautious then to throw caution to the wind.

Jacob turned to face the young engineer when he asked if there
was something specific he could do. He then said "Well if you
like, you can check the impulse manifolds. Make sure they are
still holding good after the Starbase filled them up. So you can
keep busy." He smiled and nodded.

Brooke heard her husband's voice and tapped the control panel to
respond as the CMO took the Counsellors chair =/\= Bridge to
Engineering, acknowledged, we'll be departing shortly, Bridge
out =/\= Brooke then turned to acknowledge Ensign Deito " Your
welcome Doctor and I must say you've done well with Sickbay in
the short time that you've been here" she replied " Speaking of
which how is Lieutenant Shepard?".

"Craig finished getting his station in order and then tapping
his com badge he hailed Lieutenant Harriman and reported in.
Normally he would have done this in person however being so
close to departure he didn't want to leave his station. --/\--"
Lieutenant Harriman this is LTJG Craig McGrory new assignment
on board once we have taken off and have some time for me to
leave my current station I will report in person. Also Commander
Brooke wishes for a status update of if we are prepared for
launch from all the department heads." --/\-- Craig then looked
over to Commander Brooke " Commander set up of the Tatical
station complete. If we have time once we're in warp I would
like to report into Lieutenant Harriman personally."

Nevir listened, but just nodded. "Not a worry sir, I've been
thinking I need a quick break from command." he said, glancing
towards the broken Endeavour. "My first mission out as we
nearly lose the ship... and my life. Science would be a
vacation. Its not ideal, but we make the best of what we get.
Edwards is a fine officer, and I would hate to stand her up for
a temporary assignment. I'll be there for her if she needs me,
but she's the XO, and my superior."

and I'm willing to make the best of it... but officers who lose
their ships within the first year never seem to make it any
higher up the chain... and not only would this reflect poorly on

Josh shook his head. "Commander you can't think that way. Look
at captain brown...he's been promoted to an Admiral. They know
this wasn't your fault or you might not even be here right now
or even still hold the rank of Commander. You did an excellent
job getting your ship together while captain....excuse me
Admiral Brown was in my sickbay. That's the makings of an
excellent commander and an even better captain in the making."
Josh stood up. "Well commander it's almost time to get
underway. Please take your station."

Brooke swivelled the chair to face Tactical when Lieutenant
McGrory reported that his station was ready " Excellent
Lieutenant " she replied. Everything was coming together and she
knew that the crew would perform just as well as they had on
their previous mission. When he asked if he could report to his
Department Head once they were clear she didn't hesitate in her
answer as it was important for all departments to run smoothly
and get to know one another. " I can't see why not Lieutenant,
it will give you chance to meet him properly".

[Security Chief's Quarters]
John sat at his desk going over the tactical specs of the ship
when his Combadge chirped.He listened to the message and
responded.
=/\="Understood Mr. McGrory, You can tell the XO that Security
and Tactical is prepared for launch and that we have a full
yield of all standard topedos and phasers are at 110%and shields

Nine Lives - Deck 10
The crew lounge largely vacated except for waiting staff and
some stragglers, Alexander moved over to the table right at the
centre of the large viewports. In doing so, he sat at the utmost
forward part of the bow anyone onboard USS Atlantis could be,
everyone else onboard was situated aft of him.
He smiled up at the waiter and thanked him as his Delvan fluff
pastries and another mug of raktajino were brought out to him.
He finished reading the paragraph he was at, replaced his
bookmark and set the novel aside. Then he took a first bite of
his breakfast in anticipation of the ship clearing mooring and
its impending forward motion.
