Bridge
Oskin determined that several officers, not in the least the
Captain and the First Officer, were dealing with the situation
near the Tactical station. He glanced back and forth between his
own station and what was happening behind him. Starbase 378 was
awaiting the go ahead with regards to the deuterium transfer and
while he had asked Engineering to stand by, no one had actually
acknowledged yet.
In anticipation of a response, the young officer at the
Operations station received word that engineers at the
shuttlebay had determined that one of the Type 7 shuttles had
better been taken out of rotation and exchanged at the starbase
for another so that it could receive a more thorough maintenance
than could be facilitated onboard and that three class VI and
two class VIII probes had been restocked to bring the complement
back up to full.
Again Alexander looked over his shoulder in anticipation of
getting at least some inkling of what had happened.

Josh held on to KnodwI when Brooke asked what happened. "I have
no idea from what they say he attacked Harriman without reason."
The medical teams arrive and start to check on both KnodwI and
Harriman. Josh let go of his brother and took a few steps to
Harriman and knelt down. "Lieutenant....are you ok? Do you need
medical attention? " The medical team had to sedate KnodwI. "Sir
we need to get him to sickbay." Josh looked back at the medical
team. "Do it." Josh snapped back. He looked back to Harriman.
"Lieutenant can you hear me?"

Josh knew that the station wanted to top of their tanks and knew
it needed to be done. While still knelt over Harriman Josh
looked to Alexander. Ensign of the station requests to fill our
deuterium tanks tell them to proceed, and if there's anything
else the station wants to do as far as maintenance issues are
related give them the go ahead." Josh knew that this was an
issue but he also had a ship to run. One of the bad things
about being a captain is that you don't just have to worry about
one situation at a time, there's at least ten different things
going on at once.

Brooke still couldn't fathom what had gone on, as far as she was
aware this wasn't like Knowdi to just attack someone like that
and certainly not in the middle of the Bridge. She watched as
the medics took over and Josh went over to their new Security
officer Lieutenant Harriman and spoke to him. She quickly made a
decision and hoped that Captain would agree " Captain why don't
you go with your brother, I'll make sure Lieutenant Harriman is
taken care of and that all matters with the station are dealt
with".

Still seated, still at his station, Ensign Oskin Alexander
divided his attention between what was going on behind him and
his duties on hand. He took note of the medical team arriving as
well as the pending tasks on his console.

"Aye, Captain" the young Operations Manager acknowledged and
decided that there were plenty of officers dealing with the
situation on the bridge and that he needed to somehow mentally
block out what was going on behind him and get back to work.
Tapping his console, he quickly assigned a team to inspect the
recently delivered probes. Then he again opened a line of
communications to Engineering, "Bridge to Engineering, please
confirm status in regards to receiving deuterium transfer from
Starbase 378..."
As he waited for a response, he opened another tab and assigned
a team to take the defunct Type 7 shuttle from the shuttlebay
and for another to prepare the reception of a replacement craft.

Josh had a look of worry on his face. He's trying to juggle his
ties to his brother, and also another member of the crew.
"Thank you commander." The medical team requested for a site to
site beam to sickbay. The medical team vanish. Josh stands up.
"You have the bridge commander please see to it that
Lietuenennt Harriman reports to sickbay at once. " Josh then
walks to the turbolift and steps in.
Sickbay
.Josh rushes in to see his brother confined and sedated on a
bed. He walks up to one of the nurses. "Excuse me Ensign is
there any word on his condition?"

"Yes Captain" Brooke replied as she watched him leave for
Sickbay, yes he was the Captain but at the same time she
couldn't expect him not to be with his brother especially with
the ship still in spacedock and not knowing why he had behaved
the way he did. She knew he would do the same for her when it
came to Jacob and after all they were one big family. Going over
to Lieutenant Harriman " Lieutenant if you can stand,we need to
get you to Sickbay".

Chief Engineer's Office
Jacob looked up hearing a call from the Bridge by the Operations
Officer about the Starbase wanting to fill up the Atlantis's
deuterium tank. Everything was in order in Engineering with no
issues so Jacob couldn't see why not.
He then pressed the comm button and replied =/\=Engineering to
Bridge. You can tell the Starbase they can fill us up to the
rim. Permission granted Ensign.=/\=
He smiled and exited his officer and began roaming around
Engineering.

Sickbay
Ensign Morgan turned away from observing Lieutenant Shepard's
vitals when she heard the Captain behind her. She was aware they
were related and wanted to give him better news but at the
moment all she could was tell him what they had found so far. "
Certainly Captain, Lieutenant Shepard is suffering from some
type of Klingon disease that's affecting his mentality but as
yet we don't know the exact disease so we're keeping him sedated
whilst we continue running tests and making sure he is
comfortable".

Ensign Oskin listened to the Chief Engineer's casual approach to
the pending procedure and tapped a sequence of commands as he
replied, "Acknowledged, Lieutenant Commander."
Before the procedure began, Ensign Oskin first initiated a
series of diagnostics on all involved systems. All systems being
nominal, he next issued the command to pump slush deuterium fuel
from the primary deuterium tank to the auxiliary tanks in the
saucer section by means of the cross feeds and a set of heaters
so that the amount that was transferred could be stored there in
liquid form. Then the young Ensign coordinated with personnel
aboard Starbase 378 and oversaw the transfer of more slush
deuterium pumped through the umbilical moorings at a temperature
of 13.8K to replenish the primary deuterium tank. Keeping a tab
on emergency pressure relief and hands-on readiness to initiate
emergency containment in case of tank or transfer pipe rupture
and a potential failure of automated responses, he watched as
the computer gauged the onboard deuterium storage tank being
filled up to the normal load mark. There was no need, nor had
the order been given, to fill up to the maximum load, as USS
Atlantis was not scheduled for any extended stay in a region of
space where the Bussard ramscoop would be unable to pull
low-grade hydrogen particles from the interstellar medium.
All systems functioned per design and no emergency action was
necessary. 62,500m³ of slush deuterium resided in the primary
deuterium tank and the thirty-two auxiliary tanks had been
filled with liquified deuterium while the cross feed and
deuterium liquefying procedures had been subjected to an
operational test. A final low level diagnostic wrapped up the
procedure and compiled reports for Engineers on both USS
Atlantis and Starbase 378 to review.
"USS Atlantis to Starbase 378," he opened a channel, "deuterium
transfer successful. Much obliged. Atlantis out."

Josh looked down at his brother laying on the table. "Thank you
ensign, you will have another come in here shortly, Lieutenant
Harriman he's our new chief of security. I'll be in the doctors
office. Please inform me when he arrives."
