Seeing his reaction to the unknown promotion made Brooke smile
and even for someone like herself any promotion received was
always a surprise and it wasn't that long ago since her and her
husband had been promoted. " I imagine you will be surprised but
its well earned and we have no doubt that you will be a great
asset to the ship Ensign" she replied " A reason to celebrate
later at the reception" she said then looked to her husband.

He would nod in agreement. 'Yes m'am. A great reason for a
celebration. But that can come at a later time, first i must get
to know the ship and my tasks on board. Maybe now would be the
best time for that tour?' He would ask

"Excellent idea Ensign if we're all ready then we can start "
Brooke replied " It will also give me the opportunity to see
more of the ship and familiarise myself with those areas I never
got to visit before".

in's and out's of the ship.' Jakx would say as he stood up from
where he was sitting and slowly headed to the door, while
waiting for his commander to follow.

Bridge
"Sir," Ensign Kelvan said as he picked up his tool-pack. "If
that is all, I shall make my way back to Main Engineering."
"Of course," said the bridge duty officer in charge.
"Dismissed, Ensign."
Kelvan nodded and walked toward the turbo lift. "Main
engineering," he said. The computer took 1/100th of a second to
compute, and then began hurling itself downwards to deck 36.
Along the way, several crew members alighted and disembarked.
There was Lt Singh, one of the security team leaders. Lt Jane
Doe, a medical officer on gamma-shift. She was rather
attractive, even for a human female. However, it was rumoured
that the Lieutenant was currently in a discreet relationship
with another senior officer. It was not normally his business
to know about frivolous details concerning other individuals,
but since moving in with Ensign Oskin, he has had to endure a
cacophony of gossip from the adjoining crew quarters. Two
female. Bolians.
He was alone moments later, on the final third leg of his
journey. Twelve seconds later, the doors split apart.

The Edwards Quarters
" I agree Ensign I think it Main Engineering will be a good
place to start don't you Commander ?" she suggested looking over
at her husband with a smile as Ensign Forrester got up and
headed to the door. Brooke soon followed by carefully standing
up from the sofa and waited for Jacob before catching up to the
Ensign.

[Harriman's Quarters]
John sat his stuff in his quarters and looked around slightly
bigger then his last quarters which was nice. He did not feel
like unpacking so he just straightened up his uniform and then
he would have a look around.

"Good idea, that way Ensign Forrester will get to see the heart
of the ship" Brooke replied smiling back as she led the way out
of their quarters and into the corridor outside.

Jakx would follow the two senior officers as they led the way to
engineering. 'Could I ask how long you have both served
starfleet? I am interested in knowing the time frame until the
possibility arises to work as a senior officer. '
