Brooke listened intently to her husband's explanation regarding
not only the doors but also the Reactor, she found it truly
interesting and it also allowed her to understand her husband a
little bit more regarding his passion and interests. "It's
fascinating sweetheart " she replied looking into his eyes for a
moment before he introduced the Chief Engineer, again she
recognised who it was and smiled " Pleased to meet you Commander
" she said respectfully then squeezed her husband's hand a
little tighter.

Jacob smiled as Brooke squeezed his hand. He then said "Now,
onto Sickbay." He led her out of Engineering and to the lift. He
pressed a button to open the lift door and stepped in. The door
closed and Jacob pressed the button to take them to the deck to
Sickbay.

As the lift moved Brooke leaned back against the rail still
holding her husband's hand, she was enjoying the tour but needed
to take a moment to rest. She knew that there would be more to
explore after Jacob had introduced her to the remaining crew
members and she was looking forward to learning more about the
ship. However those thoughts were interrupted by a strange
sensation in her abdomen and after a moment or two she realised
what it was and looked at Jacob " Jake I've just felt the baby
move, it was only a flutter but she definitely moved ".

Jacob looked at Brooke and her belly and said "She did?" He
placed his hands on her belly hoping he could feel their
daughter move again.

Brooke looked back at her husband as he placed his hands on her
bump " Yes babe .... she paused for a moment as their daughter
moved again this time it was stronger " She must know its you "
she said smiling brightly at him.

"She does indeed " Brooke replied happily as Jacob kissed then
rubbed her bump " I've got a feeling she's going to be very
active every time she hears your voice " she said placing her
hand over her husband's just as the lift came to a stop.

Jacob held Brooke's hand as they walked down the corridor toward
Sickbay. They come across a double door with the medical symbol
on it and Jake pressed a button on a console and the doors slid
open.

with scale puff like facial features appear to the two. "Doctor
Phlox. Chief Medical Officer."

Brooke looked around as Jacob spoke , it certainly was
impressive for its time and agreed with her husband. " I agree
and it certainly did its job" she replied before looking over at
the Chief Medical Officer, even though she was a scientist she
had read some of his papers as a bit of extra study during her
time at the Academy and smiled now that she was finally meeting
him. " Doctor Phlox its good to meet you " she said, it didn't
matter that they were holograms it still meant something to her
to meet those she had learned about and still couldn't fault her
husband for what he had done for them both.

Jacob walked Brooke out of Sickbay and down the corridor. He
then said "How are you liking this so far?"
