A Step Back In Time - Jacob/Brooke

The Edwards Quarters
Brooke had returned to her and Jacob's quarters earlier than
planned to hopefully take a nap before her husband finished his
shift and they left for the holodeck. He had planned something
for them but so far despite her asking him he hadn't told her
much about what the programme was about then again she knew he
liked to surprise her and this was no different. Smiling at the
thought she walked into their bedroom and stripped off her
uniform, she then took the next dose of the medication that had
been prescribed to treat her anaemia then got into bed.

Jacob ride on a lift after his shift from Engineering was over.
It was a long day and he was looking forward to go to his
quarters and rest for the day. Tomorrow, he was looking forward
to showing Brooke a piece of Starfleet history.

Jacob entered the room and smiled. He said "Honey, I'm home."

Brooke heard her husbands voice and smiled, she turned over and
looked at him " Hey babe, I was just taking a nap " she replied
" Want to get something to eat or want to join me in here for a
bit " she said grinning at him.

" Good idea my sweet " Brooke replied getting out of bed and put
on her dressing gown tying it loosely around her middle. " What
would like and I'll make it " she said moving closer to him.

Jacob smiled and held Brooke. When asked what he would like to
have, he replied "I would like my childhood favorite. Mac and
cheese."

lightly as he held her " I'm craving something salty, I think
I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and fries, its
probably a strange combination but you know what I'm like with
my cravings" she said grinning at him.

"Don't worry I will and maybe we can satisfy something else
later " She replied grinning at him as he took a seat at the
dining table, she went over to the kitchen area and started to
prepare the mac and cheese for Jacob. Once it was ready and she
had made what she had craved she carried them over to the table
and set them down, she then went over to the replicator and
collected a jug of ice cold lemonade before taking it to the
table and sat down opposite her husband.

Jacob grabbed the jug if lemonade and poured him and Brooke a
cup and smiled. He handed her cup to her and pulled his cup to
his bowl. He sniffed his meal and sighed. "Smells like how it
was back when I was 6."
