A vote whether Forum rules should apply to Skype when
interacting with other 8th fleet members either in the communal
chat room, or personal chats. Thus making Skype official and
holding everyone accountable and hopefully reduce future
arguments/flaming/hatred.
Rules will be the same as before more or less. Mostly they're
just common sense.

I know Skype is a swine to police, but I think as reps of the
8th Fleet, we owe a duty of care to the players. So yes if
someone puts us in a bad light, then actions need to be taken I
reckon.
That is not to say you can't have a laugh with someone, but
please pick moments carefully. Remember we represent the fleet
and its image could be shattered if people are asses.

We do have a set up on here for OOC stuff so i think that's
where we should leave it. Skype van be fun too but within
limits

I think site rules should apply, but I picked unofficial because
personally I'd like to see important discussions involving the
site (such as plot discussions for missions) take place on site
rather than offsite.

I'm rarely on my skype and I get all my info off the boards.
When I do get on Skype it's a lot of joking around and silliness
that can sometimes turn to offended words or a misreading of
text. I've got people who don't like me merely because of things
I've said online and as such I feel it impedes me on the site.

I see what you're saying on that. I say for now maybe keep the
skype section to just us for now until the new members earn that
that trust. Unless we know the person directly. It'll cut out a
lot of issues. Just my opinion of course.
