Physical Description: Kassandra has shoulder length dark hair
and piercing Hazel eyes tends to silence most arguments before
they begin. Standing roughly 5’6, this small body packs a lot
of attitude but despite her serious toned look and thick skin,
she is gooshy under it all.
When deployed on away missions, depending on the situation, she
will usually wear a supple black leather with matching black
hood to cover her head, with a simple cloth mask to cover her
face.

General Overview: Kassandra, or Kass for short is a serious
woman, with a [thick} skin most of the time. Though some people
would say she is an ice queen most of the time, {deep} in the
heart of her she is a jokester. Even though most of her jokes
she is the only one who understands. She typically is seen
working out in the gym. In social settings her direct nature
tends to put a lot of people off. Between her icy glare, her
cold demeanor, her odd sense of humor and her manner of speech
Kass has a difficult time forming close friendships.

Ambitions: To run her own Undercover unit one day, raise a
family.
Hobbies: Reads, practice her skills, and practices being quiet
under duress, High endurance, and base jumping
History: Kass had a hard life, from the day she was born to
adulthood. Her parents were never up for the ‘Good parents’
award. Since she was old enough to take care of her own basic
needs, she was made to work. Kass did work, up until her 18th
birthday when her parents were tired of her and kicked her out.
So she lost her home or lack of it as she calls it. While on
the streets she fell into a bad crowd, who did everything from
illegal drug abuse, smuggling, to outright thievery. Kass found
she was good at most of this but she found her real talent when
she was told to break into a high profile upper class
apartments. She was doing well till she broke into the wrong
apartment. Her target was a renown businessman but also a rival
gang leader. The next morning she was found by off duty
starfleet personnel. Kass was found beaten, raped, and near
dead. She was picked up and whisked off to the hospital.
Over the weeks her family didn't visit her, nor her friends from
the gang who left her for dead. She fought to stay in control
when younger, then fought harder to stay in control when she was
in the gang, but now having nothing to fight for or against she
wanted to die, but her doctors refused to let her. The only
ones to visit her were the Starfleet officers who dropped by to
make sure she was alive. Near death and unconscious but still
able to hear, she listened to the voices of the starfleet
officers and when she awoke, she had to deal with several more
weeks of therapy both mental and physical. Prior to her release
and with a lot of help, she spent weeks going through rigorous
psychological evaluations to make sure there would be no
flashbacks,and intense physical examinations to ensure she was
physically sound as well, When it was time for her to be
released, she joined starfleet and went into Intelligence hoping
to put some of her skills she learned in the gang to good use.
Four years of training and she did her best and excelled in a
few things needed but it was just enough to pass the tests at
starfleet academy. Once she was out of the Academy she was sent
undercover to bring down a smuggling ring, this is where she
learned the art of knife fighting and throwing. When the
smuggling ring was broken, she was reassigned to a starship.

Hey Kassandra Selendis,
After reading your application, we would love to accept you into
the fleet as a Cadet First class on the USS Endeavour as a
security officer!
As seen in our help files, you can see that all of our new
members start at either rank Cadet I or Crewman depending on
whether you picked the enlisted route or not. Both courses are
as rewarding as each other but also challenging at the same
time. This will allow us to test your knowledge through them but
also your writing skills too, both of which are important to
have.

Cadet or crewmen is fine. I did the same thing on a simm I ran
once, where people had to post and participate to rise in rank
and based off that activity and participation that determined if
they took any command positions after a month. Worked out well
but not so much in a fleet setting where it was required rank
was set by bios and such.
Now to remember how to RP on forums UGH! Started out on Forums,
then went to Nova, now back to forums.

You'll do just fine. Either the admins, command staff or other

One thing i noticed on your profile is how did you find the
site. If you could put that in just for our records that would
be terrific. Thank you.

Yeah I started out on forums too like 15 years ago. Just started
RPing again after a few years off; doing mostly forums but I am
in one Nova-based and for me it's hard to get used to.
