       Chain of Command communication vote
   DIR By: SiroVai

Should players communicate through the chain of command as was
the norm, or be free to contact anyone on the SIMM directly.
CoC would be IC and would no longer relate to PM communications.
If a cadet wanted to speak to the CO directly, they could,
       instead of DH>XO>CO.

I think a open door policy would be better, especially if it was
something urgent. We've seen it on the other site, where someone
has used the CoC and gone unanswered for days. I would hope we
could answer people a lot quicker.

I agree with Mike, I think that it would be ideal to follow the
chain of command; but, there does need to be room for exceptions
when they don't get answers. Maybe a no reprucution policy for
       going to the next level?

I believe it should be followed but if it's urgent there should
       be an exception.

I think I've worded the question weirdly. Just to clarify:
Yes is - we should keep CoC like SF
No is - players can contact anyone

I agree with Mike, I know it happened to me many times and if
you are friends with the CO you should be able PM them to just
talk if you can't any other way.

I think the CoC needs to be followed. Mostly to make it
authentic, however if posts are not even acknowledged then
people can go to the next step.

I think day to day business should follow the established IC
CoC, but there are exceptions if something is more urgent OCC or
needs attention ASAP. What that criteria would be needs to be
established and whom to contact. Also, if the player in the CoC
is not responding within a reasonable amount of time, then they
should be disciplined and/or relieved of that duty (like would
happen IRL). Just my 2 cents.

I agree with this but also would add a warning system. Maybe 3
warnings and then action is taken like relieve of duty? I would
also add that if the member of the CoC has a valid reason (such
as no internet because of sudden storms etc.) then they should
       be forgiven.
