[Bridge]
[I]An away mission!?!?[/I] He thought. He couldn't help but to
wonder why they chose him. As a cadet, he knew that there were
certainly officers more qualified to fill this role. After
having just gotten lost in the Jeffries tubes Jonathans self
esteem was particularly fragile. The second officer seemed eager
to put him at ease but her words did not do much to quell his
nerves. When he discovered that he would be assigned to an away
mission his apprehension skyrocketed to a new level. He didn't
feel that he was adequately prepared to face such a difficult
challenge. He wasn't ever entirely certain of where they were
going. [I]Get it together John![/I] He took a few deep breathes
and slowly regained his composure. He moved to a science station
and was able to access the lateral sensor array. Within a few
moment he had completed the requested scans and downloaded the
files to a PADD. Given his naivety he didn't feel that he was
the appropriate person to analyze the results and draw a
conclusion. He stepped up to the second officer and passed the
PADD off. "Here... Here are your scans sir."
With little regard for the contents of the scans he made his way
to the turbolift. "Deck four. Main shuttlebay." Jonathan
ordered. He had found himself wishing that he could have gone to
his quarters and replace the stained uniform with a clean one.
Jonathan couldn't help but feel like every person he passed in
the corridors noticed the large black streak across the front of
his pants.
When the shuttle slowed to a halt Jonathan stepped out. He knew
he was on the right deck but wasn't quite certain which way to
go from here. He leaned to the right and to the left attempting
to ascertain the proper direction but the corridors lacked the
clues necessary for him to draw a conclusion. "Computer? Can you
direct me to the main shuttlebay?" With Jonathan's request
lights lit up on the panels through the corridor. He followed
the path that the computer laid out and arrived at his
destination.

Upon entering the shuttlebay Jonathan discovered a swarm of
activity surrounding one craft in particular. He made the
assumption that that was the team he would be joining. As he
approached the shuttle a lump developed in his throat and he
could feel the nerves bubbling up in the pit of is stomach.
[I]Why? Why? Why?[/I] He thought. He hadn't ever escaped the
earlier feeling that he was in way over his head. These types of
missions weren't designed for cadets. He noticed a man, his PIPS
indicated that he was a Lieutenant Commander. Observing the
activity it was clear that he was the individual in charge. With
a slight hesitation Jonathan move towards the group. "Excuse me,
sir. Is this where I'm supposed to report? You'll have to
forgive the delay." Jonathan didn't want to admit to getting
lost on the way. He was hopeful that the Commander wouldn't
press for further detail.
With a slight tug he smoothed his uniform. "Where exactly are we
going, anyway?" He asked with a slight hesitation.

=/\= Understood Captain, Edwards out =/\= Brooke closed the
channel still feeling unnerved and unsettled, she didn't know if
it was just her emotions with the pregnancy or from the results
on the Scans. Whilst she waited for the Captain to arrive she
got up and walked over to Science " I want to know how often
those anomalous readings show up see if we can pinpoint it to
something more specific" she instructed with a nod of
acknowledgement from her deputy she returned to the command
chair and sat back down.

"I'll tag along, i'm not ready to go back to Sickbay just yet."
She grinned, "After you sir." Rebecca stood and motioned towards
the door. Truthfully she was curious as to what had called the
Captain away.

Jacob looked and saw a man walk into the shuttle craft and
smiled. He then replied to the young man "Well yes. This is
where you report if you are joining. I'm Lieutenant Commander
Edwards. Chief Engineer. Good to meet you."
He held his hand out to shake the cadets. "As for our mission,
we are heading over to investigate the USS Windsor. That's as
much as I can tell you. Cause we ain't so sure about what is up
with her."

moved so he could see the display as she transferred the
information from the PADD onto it. " At first we thought this
anomalous reading was just a one off as it can happen often
especially around the neutral zone with its various nebulas,
dark stars etc but in this case it keeps showing up disappearing
and reappearing at regular intervals, now I don't know if its
anything to worry about but considering what we already know
about the Windsor it may be something we need to keep an eye on"
she said " As for the away team Chief Edwards already has his
team of Engineers ready and waiting in the Shuttlebay along with
Cadet Doerson I have instructed them to standby until we know
whats going on".

that this could be man made?" Josh said his last question out
loud again. "Maybe the Windsor got caught in one of these. The

"It is odd that's why I called you and so far there has been no
indication that its man made and I agree the Windsor could of
that's why we're unable to find the ship " Brooke replied
looking at the display again before turning her attention back
to the Captain. The whole was becoming more and more mysterious
the closer they got to their destination and felt uneasy again.
"Yes Captain you can rely on my team for that and what should we
do with regards to the away team in the Shuttlebay have them
return to duty for now?".
