Josh watched as Brooke exited the lounge. "So doctor I'm not
sure what you did on your last ship but on this ship if you're
called in for a briefing and you can't make it within acceptable
time limits i expect you to at least notify me of such. That
way you can be excused, and filled in later. I know we haven't
really had the chance to talk since the change of command but
I'd like that to change. So let's get one thing out of the way.
Could you explain to me why you was late. Also without getting
too much into your personal life, how is everything going? Do
you have anything you'd like to ask me? "

Rebecca smirked, "Well Sir," Her tongue darted out, wetting her
lips as she figured out how to eloquently and not offensively
speak, "I had my hands full and I would have notified you, but
it was at the bottom of my list." She shrugged, "In medical we
can't just drop what we're doing whenever a meeting is called.
I'm sure you can understand that."
There was a brief pause. Of course Rebecca had other nurses and
doctors on hand. Medics too. All of them were capable of doing
the same work as she, however in his instance the Ensign had a
handful of the good doctor's hair and was not, even with a
sedative, letting go.
"I'll try do better next time." She smiled, "As for questions,
no..not really. I'll prep a few people for the away team, I'll
only bring one or two but better to anticipate chaos than to be

have any questions for me?"

After speaking to her team and making sure they understood what
was needed Brooke took her place in the command chair. All she
needed to do now was to get both her department and Ops working
together and was aware of the new cadet that had came aboard at
the Starbase, opening a channel =/\=Commander Edwards to Cadet
Doerson please report to the Bridge =/\=. Now it was only a
matter of time before they found the Windsor then the real work
would begin to resolve the issue of the upgraded ship and truly
believed they would deal with it accordingly. Yes there was
still a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that it wouldn't
be straightforward but nothing ever was when you served in
Starfleet. Closing the channel she waited for the Ops cadet to
arrive.

Jacob stepped out of the lift and looked around as he began to
spoke. He spoke to them about the Windsor and what is going to
happen. "I need 3 volunteers to join me." He looked around and
picked three others and smiled. "Alright. Get your gear and meet
in the Main Shuttlebay."
He walked over to Kerrigan and said to her "You and the others
take care of the ship while I'm gone." Kerrigan nodded and
replied "Always will sir. Be safe." Jacob nodded and grabbed his
gear and took the lift to the Shuttlebay.

Jeffries Tube
John wasn't sure what he'd expected to happen in the next few
moments as he wound his way around a ladder in the Jeffries
tube. Whatever could have been the norm aboard a Starfleet
ship, what occurred wasn't what he considered possible. A call
from the Bridge. He straightened suddenly, the back of his head
making hard contact with the tube wall - they were shorter than
the old dilithium mining tubes - even the smallest ones gave a
good three meters of room no matter how you sliced it. At
least, they did when they weren't collapsing in like the world
above had a vendetta against you and everything you love.
Rubbing the back of his head, he stood more carefully this time
and started toward the Bridge. Of course, in his wanderings,
he'd actually forgotten where exactly he was and the fastest way
to Deck 1. Actually, he wasn't sure he'd know the fastest way
to the Bridge in any event.
He reached down for the hydrospanner he'd dropped and
straightened his uniform again before tapping his commbadge. His
tone was questioning and he sounded very much like a man who'd
just smacked the back of his head on cold metal by straightening
entirely too suddenly. =/\="Um, Doerson to Bridge? I'll be
there as soon as I can."=/\=
He figured that no matter what, no matter where on this ship he
was, the ladder up had to lead him to the right place. For a
moment, he wondered about finding a turbolift... and then he
realized a fact that had been missing from his understanding a
moment ago - he had no idea where the nearest lift tube would be
found.
No, it would be better if he could just keep moving. Hand over
hand on the rungs of the ladder. Moving up as his feet made
contact with metal.
Of course, it'd still take a while. He was pretty far down.

[Bridge]
Jonathan stepped on the bridge and took a long look around. He
couldn't help but to instantly feel out of place and slightly
uncomfortable. Everyone looked professional. Everyone looked
like they belonged on the bridge of that ship. Their
uniforms were clean and pressed while his still prominently
displayed the marks of his hands. Maybe next time I'll find
something, anything, other than my uniform. He thought to
himself as he looked at the stain disapprovingly. He couldn't
help but wonder if the others could see it. Back in the mines
this wouldn't had been an issue. While the work was rewarding,
it lacked the formality of the bridge of a Federation Starship.
However, he knew his father would be scolding him if he were
there. 'Clean up that mess Johnny! Organize your closet
Johnny! You'll never amount to anything looking like a slob
Johnny!' The words his father chose echoed in his own mind.
He had spent 20 year of his life being told that he wasn't good
enough. The treatment should have lit a fire under him that
should have driven him towards success. But, instead, it made
him question the validity of every step he took in life. His
father was a perfectionist and expected nothing less from his
only son. Perhaps his fathers' neurotic obsession with
cleanliness was the birth of Jonathans lack-luster approach to
his own personal organization.
He wasn't certain which one of these officers had called for
him. Jonathan wasn't the type to speak loudly in a room full of
people. When the turbolift doors opened he could feel the
piercing glare emitting from the officers on the bridge. They
may not have been staring, but this was how he chose to perceive
the situation. With a small catch he began to speak. "Um...
Cadet... Um Cadet Doerson reporting as ordered sirs."
He tugged his uniform trying to smooth out the wrinkled folds,
in an attempt to mimic the appearance of rest of the crew.
However, no amount of pulling and wriggling could cover the
large black handprint that he smeared across his pant leg.

it also showed how efficient he was by organising his team

couldn't go anywhere just yet. Opening a channel she responded
=/\= Bridge to Chief Edwards, acknowledged, standby for now as

She was about to close the channel when she heard a voice behind

smiled again wanting to put him at ease " At ease Cadet, I would
