" I agree it could cause a whole heap of problems and political
nightmares if it ever did and I suggest we go ahead, find the
crew beam them aboard then if it comes to it we destroy the
Windsor " she replied looking to her husband " I know you'll be
able to come up with a way for us to do that safely " she said
with a hint of a smile. Turning back to face the Captain again "
We also have the matter of those who haven't showed up yet
Captain, how should we proceed?".

their direct supervision" Josh said with a stern tone of voice.

" I hope so too Captain would you like me to hail them again or
if we have a plan of action notify the whole crew via ship wide
hail ?" She suggested and understood the Captain's tone of voice
as it didn't look good if the department heads had ignored a
direct order. She hoped that when they did arrive or show for
duty that they were aware of the consequences should they not
give a satisfactory reason for not attending.

Jacob looked back and forth between Brooke and Joshua and
signed. He then said "Well, if the crew are doing these kind of
things, the ship will have to be destroyed." Looking at the
schematic of the ship, he shook his head and looked up again.
"We first would have to confirm if they are doing these designs
when we get there."

[Jefferies Tube]
Johnathan stared into the conduit. He was astounded by the
intricate web of conduits that seemed to endlessly lead in each
direction within the wall. Mesmerized, Johnathan found his mind
becoming lost in thoughts of the past. The coil spanner in his
hand took his mind to a different moment in time, a time before
the uniform, a time before the academy. Johnathan found himself
back in the dilithium mine. He could hear the hum of the
equipment and the sounds of his peers shouting status updates
and orders. The noise of those mines lead to Johnathan's deep
appreciation of the quiet environment found inside the Jefferies
Tubes aboard the [I]Atlantis.[/I] Those mines had once been a
source of great joy and contentment but one fateful day that was
all lost.
His hand fell towards the deck plates and the coil spanner
lightly tapped the panel that Johnathan had earlier set aside.
Images flooded his mind. Johnathan had been involved in a horrid
event that had lead to the death of many individuals that he
considered friends. The counsellor told him these feelings were
normal, [I]survivors guilt,[/I] she labeled it. As a
Betazoid-human hybrid Johnathan had always had a unique
relationship with emotions. Even if his empathic abilities
didn't reach the level of other Batazoids. He didn't like the
way the councilors and psychologists rush to label him.
With the experience passing Johnathan looked to the coil spanner
that laid amidst his limp fingers. Looking back to the conduit
he focused his mind back to his work. [I]I guess this work won't
finish itself,[/I] he thought. With a little internal
encouragement he grasped the tool and continued the repair work
he had begun. He was fearful that the brass would discover just
how long it took him to complete this relatively simple task,
one that he had estimated at only thirty minutes. [I]"Maybe I
should factor in my mental wanderings when I give these
estimates."[/I] He mumbled. With a slight chuckle at his own
joke he made the necessary adjustments to the power flow
regulators. A slight hum gradually grew duller until it faded
completely. With his tricorder he confirmed the readings that
his ears had already alluded to. With the power flow regulated
again he closed the panel and gave his uniform jacket a slight
tug to smooth out the folds that had been created during the
repair process and progressed on to the next junction.

Rebecca broke through the doors at a fast speed and winced,
"Sorry I'm late. So so sorry." She slowed and took her place
with the group. Running late was never comfortable, but at the
same time she hadn't been able to just leave, "Can I be brought
up to speed?"

Josh held his tongue and wanted to discuss why she was late.
"Commander once this briefing is over I'd like you to remain."
Josh then turned his attention back to the display screen.
"This is the USS Windsor, a Nova class starship, but this has
been modified, faster warp engine, advanced weapons and
defenses. Our mission is to find her and bring her back,
destroy her as a last resort."

The sudden appearance of their Chief Medical Officer pushed any
more thoughts of putting out a hail for the rest of the senior
staff but she hoped now that Dr Garrett was here the others
would follow suit if not she was sure the Captain would deal
with them accordingly. Turning back to her husband " I agree we
do perhaps send an away team over once we find it before we do
anything, what do you think Captain ?".

be to much of an issue. I can order up the command override and
shut down the ship from here if need be, but i don't think it'll
take them long to cancel out the override. If we are able to
take control of the Windsor you'll captain that ship to the

Brooke looked to Jacob again as the Captain replied and was a
little taken aback at being asked to Captain the Windsor but
knew deep down that she was capable. " Understood Captain and
let's hope there isn't any issues once we find her, would you
like me to keep the small away team with me if I do end up
taking Command?".
