Bridge
--- Quote ---
> Josh thought for a moment of who his father was. "I can't
think of who your father is. I've delt with many vulcans
sometimes good, sometimes bad. But I'm heading to the brig,
you should report to Engineering. Maybe another time we'll
discuss your father."
--- End Quote ---
Ensign Kelvan nodded and stepped aside to allow the Captain
through. He hadn't achieved the necessary effect to solidify
the facade, but considering the circumstances, it would have to
do. Now, the rest was up to the eavesdropping bridge crew. He
was about to turn and summon the next turbo lift when he noticed
the wincing coming from the front of the bridge. He didn't
know exactly how he was going to use this discovery, but his
instincts told him that he would have to look this person up.
"Main engineering," the Vulcan said after boarding the carriage.
Deck 36
Kelvan walked in, careful to keep out of the way. He already
had drawn too much unwanted attention from Lt Singh and his
gang, and drawing the irk from his fellow department staff would
be ill-conceived. There was no sign of LtCmdr Edwards. He
observed each person and soon ascertained that LtJG Morris was
the next in line.
"Excuse me Lieutenant," Kelvan said as soon as the chance arose.
Morris paused for a second, and then grabbed a nearby PADD, and
rudely shoved it into the Ensign's chest. "I've got no time to
coddle you. Find something useful to do and stay out of the
way!"
Kelvan fumbled with the PADD and nodded his acknowledgement.
Morris was already beyond earshot before he had the chance to
say anything. Quietly, he accessed the PADD and found out that
the task at hand was to perform a level 1 diagnostics and where
necessary, maintenance, on every sonic shower on board. It was
not a very productive use of his time and certainly would not
make him more indispensable, but at least he had something to
do. There was a need for junior officers to maintain the
appearance of being useful, less you get discarded. He found
the equipment lockers and selected all the necessary tools for
the job. Then, boarded the nearest turbo lift.
Deck 2
Kelvan alighted the carriage and made for the nearest crew
quarters. He turned the corner and bumped into another person,
sending him off-balance.
"Why," Singh said, "if it isn't pointy."
"Lieutenant," Kelvan said. "I apologise, I did not see you."
"No," Singh said, "you did, and you ran into me anyway. I'm on
to you Ensign, I'm going to know very soon if you had been lying
about knowing the Captain."
Kelvan had no idea if the Lieutenant had the resources to
conduct any sort of in-depth investigation about his claims. He
hoped that word would get around soon about his little episode
on the bridge, and that would be enough to deter the good
Lieutenant from persisting in discovering the truth.
Regardless, he might as well take advantage of this human
bully's ignorance while he could. "Lieutenant Singh, I am sure
you have more important business to attend to than to bother
yourself with a lowly Ensign such as myself."
Singh grabbed the Vulcan's collar and pushed him against the
wall. "You watch yourself pointy," he said, some loose spit
landing on Kelvan's face. The man then smiled, released his
grip and pretended to smooth the wrinkles from the Vulcan's
uniform. "I wouldn't sleep too soundly if I were you."
Kelvan watched as Lt Singh moved away from view. He looked at
the tools in-hand and wondered if he should just flush himself
out an airlock and save everyone the trouble. No, if these
brainless imbeciles wanted blood, he would not disappoint.
Feeling a bit foolish standing by himself in the corridor, he
quickly resumed his trek. The sooner he completed his task, the
sooner he could move on to the next task.

> "Understood, Captain," Ensign Oskin nodded. At least he would
not be relieved on the bridge any time soon, the half-Bajoran
thought. That was a good thing. He winced at the pain in his
ribs as he shifted in his chair. Also that would keep him from
seeking medical attention in the near future. From the scores
upon scores of beating he had received throughout his lifetime,
Oskin Alexander had come to understand and respect the
limitations of his body and of the pain he was capable of
withstanding. He had had worse, but only marginally so.
Alexander glanced back at the replicator and back at his
console. As he kept and eye at the distant sensor contact as it
slowly closed the threshold of definitive readinfs, he tried to
recall any medicinal foodstuff could be used at the interim.

Jackson had been loesely paying attention to his surroundings
attempting to focus more on his actual job than the bantering
between the Vulcan and the captain. But the Ensign next to him
winced a fer times and after a few of them Jackson looked over
to his fellow Ensign.
"Alright first what happened and second who whooped you so bad
that your're wincing on the bridge." he said as he looked to the
Bajorian.

The Operations Officer looked to the red-collar Ensign to his
right. He had not met this man before. From all appearances the
helmsman seemed Human, though could have been any of many
humanoid species without external distinguishable features.
There was nothing that indicated he could trust this officer,
nor anything that served as a red flag to say that he should
distrust him. Briefly Oskin Alexander considered, and decided
there was no way to determine whether withholding the truth was
more beneficial than telling the truth. Or maybe there was...
rarely did Humans, if this Ensign was Human, bother to care
about the Bajoran's well being. Telling the truth, he concluded
finally, seemed easier to remember than an eventual lie he would
have to repeat again later.
"Ensign Riggs and his gang," Alexander explained. With his left
hand he indicated the ridges at the bridge of his nose, "My
Bajoran heritage has been problematic for a great many since I
was born."

Looking back to the Bajoran as he explained what happened made
Jackson chuckle a little. The poor Guy couldn't catch a break
could he. he thought to himself as his fellow Ensign spoke.
"Riggs isn't worth his salt anyway, if he ever bothers you again
let me know." he said with a devious smile at the thought of his
fist meeting someone elses face. I'll have to have a talk with
Riggs as soon as we get this missing ship BS figured out he
thought still smiling and imagining himself laying out Riggs
without even trying.

Ensign Oskin was somewhat perplexed by his colleague's offer.
From senior officers, he had come to accept some sort of
apparent indifference as to his Bajoran heritage. This was
manifested primarily in that they did not go out of their way to
rough him up. He had come to expect it from his fellow Cadets,
and now that he had graduated the imperial Academy, from Ensigns
also. Lieutenants and above had never subjected Alexander to any
punishment he had not witnessed administered in equal
proportions to Humans. It was for this reason that the
half-Bajoran could not figure out why the Ensign at the helm
offered his assistance. Perhaps the man was not Human after all.
Perhaps the man was already thinking about his career in the
long run and figured he would take this Bajoran Ensign under his
wing and assure himself of Oskin's personal loyalty, thus adding
Alexander to his growing arsenal of assets. Perhaps such
patronage was just what Oskin Alexander needed to survive.
"I will," the Operations Officer nodded, "I will let you know if
he bothers me again." He had wanted to add Thank you, and at the
last instant changed his mind about it, not wanting to seem too
desperate for help.

Visually and audibly, reports from the Science department came
in over Ensign Oskin's console. In rapid succession, sensors had
first confirmed the long-range sensor contact was indeed a
starship, then that it belonged to the Nova-class.
"Lieutenant," Alexander turned his head sideways, speaking to
the officer in the central chair behind him while keeping an eye
on the data on his console. He explained the most recent
analysis of the sensor readings and placed a visual on the main
viewer at Lieutenant Rodgers' behest. Maximal magnification did
indeed reveal the contours of a Nova-class vessel.
All heads on the bridge turned to the main viewer, if only
briefly, before they returned their attention to the stations.
Chirping at his console snapped Alexander's attention to the
most recent report "It's the USS Windsor, Lieutenant."
Lieutenant Rodgers reached for his combadge and tapped once to
inform the commanding officer.

Brig
Josh was about to torture another prisoner when his commbadge
went off. =^=Shepard here=^= Josh said. Lieutenant Rodgers
spoke with a hint of pride in his voice. =^=Captain we've
located the Windsor, her engines appear to be offline, but we're
picking up her sheilds and phasers are online.=^= Josh smiled.
=^=raise our sheilds and bring all our weapons online, I'll be
up there in a moment. Shepard out=^=. Josh looked at Brooke and
smiled as he heard the news. He took out his phaser and pointed
it at Brooke...but only for a second and shot and killed one of
the security personnel. "You forgot one commander. We've
intercepted a communication to him to try to kill me before we
reach the Windsor." Josh holstered his phaser. Then looked at
the remaining prisoners. "Don't worry...we'll be back. " Josh
said as he walked towards the door and turned and waited for
Brooke.

Brooke felt a mixture of outrage and anger as the Captain
pointed the phaser at her until he killed one of the security
personnel, however recovered quickly and looked at the Captain
as she walked over to join him. " It won't happen again Captain
" she said looking back at the body of the man he had just
killed and when he said to the others that they would be back
she couldn't wait to return as she wanted them to hurt and
unleash her frustration.

Josh and Brooke walked down the hallway to the turbolift. They
didn't say much in the turbolift. They reached the bridge and
Josh was the first to step on the bridge. Josh looked at the
Windsor on the view screen. "Standby weapons" Josh ordered.
Waiting to see what the Windsor will do.

Brooke followed the Captain out of the lift and onto the Bridge
, stopping for just a moment as she looked at the Windsor. After
all this time of what she thought was just playing hide and seek
was about to stop, there would be no more playing only justice
for the Empire. It was a shame that the captured Imperial
Starfleet crew would have to be sacrificed but it was a small
price to pay to get revenge on those cowards the Klingons.
Moving down to the XO's chair she took her seat and prepared to
watch but not before she sent a message to her husband.
My sweet we have found the Windsor, if time permits feel free to
join me on the Bridge so we can watch its destruction together.
