Bridge
Brooke stood up from the command chair as she tapped her comm
badge =/\= Acknowledged Captain =/\= closing the channel she
handed over command to the duty relief officer Lieutenant
Commander Baker and crossed the small distance to the ready
room. Once outside she then tapped the door mechanism and waited
to be called in.

Captain's Ready Room
Josh heard the door chime for his ready room. "Enter. " Josh
announced. "Commander please have a seat. " Josh watched as
Brooke sat down in the chair in front of his desk. "Well i got
some information about the Windsor, it turns out she's not a
science vessel. Same ship class but it was basically striped
down to make room for a new engine and weapons systems. We're
ordered to retrieve her or destroy if deemed necessary. So far
there's no other information about the ship and crew, but i
sense there won't be any until we find her. "

Brooke sat a little more comfortably in her chair as she
digested this latest information from Captain Shepard regarding
the Windsor and it all made sense as it did seem a bit off as to
why a Science vessel had been assigned without any support. She
looked at Joshua as she spoke to him " At least we have a bit
more to go on and I agree we won't I have Science running the
long range sensors and have told them to notify me as soon as
anything shows up".

"Good idea, I'm just concerned that if we have to destroy her,
where would the crew be? Coukd they be stranded on a planet,
taken prisoner, or held in certain parts of the ship. We could
possibly end up destroying a ship with her crew. I don't want
to do that. I don't think myself not anyone could live with
themselves. Orders or not i can't take that action. Not until
we find the crew. " Josh stood up. "Let's get back to the
bridge. I'm going to call for a senior staff meeting in about
an hour" Josh went over towards the door and it opened.

" No they couldn't Captain and I would never be able to do
anything like that and I will completely back you up if it ever
came to that, but if we do locate the crew we could always beam
them aboard if we do have to destroy the Windsor" Brooke replied
as she got up from her chair and followed Captain Shepard. "
Good idea that way we can have a plan of action in place before
we reach the Neutral Zone".

of his chair and sat down. "I wish i had more information on
this ship. Clearly she can outrun us and possibly out gun us. I
hate walking into this situation totally blind." Josh looked
over a report that a ensign handed him. "Well our astrometrics
lab is down for twelve hours. Routine maintenance." Josh handed
the PADD back to the ensign.

Brooke took her seat beside the Captain as the Ensign handed him
the PADD with Astrometrics being offline for 12 hours would put
a strain on the sensors and her team as they would have to
divert everything to the Bridge but knew they could handle it. "
If we did have more information it would help us a lot but I can
imagine if we ask Starfleet we'll be told its classified " she
replied " As for the Lab we can divert everything to the Bridge
for the time being but knowing my husband he'll probably have
the maintenance all done within 10 " she added with a slight
grin.

have no choice. If we ignore the issue then we risk losing
senors completely. So do what needs to be done to get them back
online."

"Well since now our hands will be tied i want to have a briefing
now. Tell astrometrics to proceed, that way it'll shave off
some time. Please inform the senior staff and then join me in
the observation lounge." Josh stood up from his chair. "You
have the bridge commander." Josh then walked off the bridge and
into the observation lounge.
Observation Lounge
Josh walked in the lounge. He let out a deep sigh. He walked
slowly to the head of the table. He sat down and then pulled up
a schematic of the Windsor."
