       Early life
       David is known as a Boomer, being that he was born and lived on
       Freighter. His Mother and Father were crew members of the ill
       fated ECS Jacksonville, they were both killed when David was
       five. Nausicaan Raiders struck the 80 year old freighter and
       killed a majority of the crew, including David's parents. He
       along with his twin sister and seven other children were hidden
       in a secret compartment, that a previous owner of the vessel
       used for smuggling. Those kids and the survivors of the crew
       were rescued by the USS Exeter and returned to Earth.
       After their rescue the Booth children were reunited with their
       Paternal Grandparents, who cared for them and brought them up.
       Occasionally they'd get visits from their Uncle Jimmy and his
       Son, but they were few and far between. Since the senseless
       killing of his parents and others had made an impact on David,
       he'd found himself with an intense desire to help others. That
       would later influence his decision to become a Doctor. Carissa
       on the other hand wanted to meet new cultures and broaden her
       horizons, she would eventually join the Starfleet Diplomatic
       Corps. Although it would have been easy to do so, neither
       children bore an intense hatred towards the Nausicaan race. That
       was in no small part to their Grandparents, who taught the
       children it wasn't the entire race that were bad and that such
       bad people existed in all races across the galaxy.
       Career
       As soon as he was old enough and after getting the grades he
       needed, David was accepted as a Medical Student with Starfleet
       Academy in 2368.
