As Josh was going over his check list he noticed Kira walking
over to the command chair. "I bet the chair is comfortable. You
know if you get captain before me you'll need a good first
officer." Josh laughed then went back to work on his assignment.
He was tapping his findings on his PADD so he could give it to
the captain.

Bridge
Kira couldn't help but grin at Joshuas comment. She kept her
head facing the view screen and then replied to Joshua. "I
wouldn't be surprised if this was were my career halts for a few
years. Im surprised I got this far given I'm only 23, I mean
jeez what were they thinking." She smiled and then finally
looked over to it. "But if it does happen... I'll think about
it." She finished, with a small laugh.

Jacob finished making sure the EPS conduits were still in good
shape and they were. Next, Jacob went to his console to check on
the power supply. They were functioning at 100%. He was happy to
see things were going well so far. But he still had a few hours
to make sure the ship was in tip top shape and ready for
anything.

Bridge
Brooke sat back for a moment absentmindedly rubbing her hand
over her small baby bump, thinking about what Doctor Booth had
said and hoped once she started taking the medication he had
prescribed regularly that she would stop feeling so tired. One
thing was for certain she wasn't going to let it get in the way
of her work and if an away team was called and she was chosen
then she would still go no matter what unless told otherwise.
But in the meantime she would continue running the databases and
collecting information with her team regarding the colony. So
far it had been pretty standard information nothing unusual or
unique but that didn't mean that it wasn't interesting and
Brooke had enjoyed the research and speaking to her team. All
she could do for now was continue and put it all together onto a
PADD for when they arrived.

The ship was approaching the planet at full impulse and so far
everything looked okay.
"All stations report." Maria said as she raised from the centre
seat, so she could look to whoever spoke when they did.

Ensign Edwards from Science and Lieutenant Booth, I will lead
the away team Captain" B'Ozian leaned over in his seat and
whispered to Maria "I promise I won't take any risks" He then
smiled slightly and pointed to the viewscreen and the colony as
it appeared in the view.

"Aye commander." Josh then tapped his communicator.
=^=Lieutennent Shepard to Lieutenant Shepard. KnodwI please meet
us in transporter room three with our gear.=^= Josh then closes
the channel. "Captain I'm getting strange readings from the
surface. Some kind of energy source is blocking our scans. I'm
unable to locate life signs but there is evidence of activity at
the colony. I'm picking up machines still in operation."

Brooke had only left her post on the Bridge once during the last
six hours and that was to visit her staff in the Lab to
physically go over the charts and information they had collected
on the colony on the larger displays and was satisfied with how
well they had performed. She had also taken her medication
before returning to the Bridge with the final reports. When she
heard Commander B'Ozian say her name as part of the away team,
she prepared herself and was also relieved to hear that Doctor
Booth would be joining them.

Ensign M'Konel reclined in his chair, propping a leg over his
knee. He had a counseling appointment in just a couple of hours,
but he was not too worried about that. Usual appointments were
not too serious. Immediate requests, however, were another story
altogether. And the crewman making the request for appointment
was a relatively recent addition to the crew, so Elihu was both
a little nervous and excited. He once again lightly scanned the
bridge crew with their mind, sensing for any tension or
apprehension that may have seemed a bit much for a mission like
this. He also reached out with his mind to sense for hostile
intent on the planet, as he usually did for the command crew on
a regular basis. If he discovered anything, he'd inform them.
