Brooke still felt extremely relaxed as Doctor Booth examined her
with the tricorder it was still hard to believe sometimes that
she was now three months pregnant but she was still excited at
the prospect of becoming a mother for the first time. " It is
and yes I'm three months, I only found out about 6 weeks ago "
she replied.

David smiled at the Ensign, when she mentioned finding out six
weeks earlier, though it sounded a bit like it wasn't expected
to happen. That was not his concern though or his business.
"You're looking a little pale Ensign." He looked around at the
computer for a moment, before looking back to the Ensign. "Tell
me have you had any of the following? general fatigue, weakness,
shortness of breath, dizziness or a tingling feeling in your
legs?" He asked smiling.

Brooke definitely liked this doctor, even though her and Jacob
had discussed having a family they hadn't been expecting it to
happen so quickly not that it mattered and knew she was in good
hands. When he mentioned her looking a little pale she thought
about his question before answering " I have been feeling more
tired than usual and suffering from morning sickness but apart
from that I haven't had any dizziness or experienced any of the
others".

"Ok." David replied looking back to his readings. "There is
nothing to be alarmed about, but you're suffering from iron
deficiency anaemia." His attention moved back to Brooke, placing
a reassuring hand on her shoulder, he added. "It happens to a
lot of pregnant women, it just means you'll need to take a few
supplements for the time being."
The topic needed to be changed to something a little more on the
positive side, he held up the tricorder and asked. "I don't
suppose you know what you're having or even if you've seen the
baby?"

Brooke didn't know how to react to the news at first until
Doctor Booth placed his hand on her shoulder and she calmed down
feeling reassured and digested the information he had given her.
" I understand " she replied happy to take what was needed to
have a healthy pregnancy and as he had said this was a common
thing to happen. When he changed the conversation she smiled "
No to both although me and Jake are convinced the baby is going
to be a girl, I'm happy either way ".

Bridge
Josh was standing at his station. He checked the complete crew
roster to make sure each department had everyone they was
supposed to. He used the internal sensors to scan for any one
that's not supposed to be on board. The scan came up with
negative results. He then started a long range scan to scan for
any ships or other things that coukd cause an issue while
they're enroute to their destination, wherever that may be.

Sick Bay
"Well if you like I can tell you the sex, of your very healthy
baby." David replied moving to one side, to complete his notes
on Brooke. He liked the attitude she gave, when it came to the
child's gender. As a Doctor, even a junior one like himself,
Booth had heard people saying what they wanted and only to show
disappointment when they received the opposite. He'd always
assumed if he had children, that he would not care about the
gender. But before that could happen, he would need to find the
right partner, but all of that could wait.

"I would like that very much and I'm pleased everything's okay "
Brooke replied without any hesitation at his offer, happy at the
news that the baby was healthy and trying at the same time not
to get too emotional over all of it. Besides finding out would
mean she would be able to surprise Jacob later and could imagine
his face at the news of whether she was expecting a Caia Mae or
a Logan Michael.

Jacob walked in through the Engineering doors and smiled as he
looked around. He was still nervous but was still looking
forward to his first day as Chief Engineer.
Jacob said to his fellow Engineers "Alright people. Let's keep
the engines running. We got ourselves a mission and we need
every bit of speed we got." He goes over to the warp core
console and taps a few buttons to check its status. He smiled
and hits the comm button in the console.
=/\=Engineering to Bridge. Warp engines stable.=/\= He then says
to himself "I love a smooth ride."

Kira's Quarters
In the few moment had spent in her room, she had squared
everything away, cleaned the place a bit, and then had left for
the bridge. It was something she'd taken with her back from the
academy and she still did it to the day, even of some people now
took a more relaxed attitude to it, Kira thought it was a good
start to a day, or a good start to a posting. She was stirred
from her thoughts as she arrived on the bridge.
Bridge
Knowing that the captain would most likely want to begin
immediately, Kira nodded at the two and smiled, she knew there
would be time for a meet and greet later. She smiled as she
arrived at the OPS console and then looked around the room at
all of the different department stations. Her head froze at
tactical, her former department, and she look around for a
moment in the area.
It didn't take her much of looking around to realise who the
chief of tactical was. She looked at the lieutenant and then
grinned slightly, she knew Joshua from the academy and knew that
if there was ever a moment to say hi, this was probably the one.
She walked over to the station and then smiled at Joshua. "Guess
who." She finished.
