Jacob looked as the warp engines came to a stop. That meant they
were approaching the Hawking Colony. "Alright people. Here we
go." He said to his staff. He went to his console and began
boosting power to main systems and defense systems. He wanted
the Atlantis to be prepared for whatever they came across.

Kira listened to what the captain had to say and then listened
to the exchange of speech between Eli and himself. "I have
picked Jacob, KnodwI and cadet by the name of Doerson to go with
us as well as the CMO, Rebecca and yourself Eli." She said,
smiling and then continuing. "Shall we make our way to the
transporter room 1 Eli." With that, Kira tapped her combadge.
=^="Wyman to Mr Edwards, Lieutenant Shepard, cadet Doerson,
lieutenant Montgomery and Commander Garrett. Please report to
transporter room for the away mission. Bring necessary equipment
as needed."=^= She finished.

Josh stopped commander Wyman. "Kira i might suggest using the
shuttle. This colony doesn't have transporter technology, they
have warp capable shuttle craft but they outlawed transporters
after they tried to experiment with them but it resulted in too
many deaths."

Josh chuckled a little. "I guess i can do that. She is an
outstanding ship." Josh let the some fade from his face then in
a serious tone. "Be careful commander, they was under attack
once, they could return or could still be here. Notify me once
you're on the surface."

Jacob looked up when he heard his named mentioned by the Captain
to join him for the away mission. He smiled and said "Goodie.
Been a while since I been on one." He went to get his gear in a
locker in his office.

As he got his repair kit, Jake heard the announcement and raised
an eyebrow. "OK. Shuttle Bay, here I come." He exited his office
and loomed at his team. He smiled and said "I'll be back people.
Lieutenant Kerrigan, take care of the ship while I'm away." She
nodded to him and replied 'Yes sir.' He nodded back and said
"See you guys later."
He walked to a turbo lift and turned as the door closed.
"Shuttle Bay 1." He felt the lift move to his destination. He
was both nervous and excited about this mission. But he was
ready for it.

Josh sat in the center chair. "Helm put us in standard orbit."
Josh then contacted shuttle bay one. "Bridge to shuttle bay
one." Josh waited a moment before he heard a response. "This is
ensign Teller captain." Josh was looking at his display screen
looking over some reports on the colony. "Ensign we're about to
send an at team do to the surface, have a shuttle craft
standing by for Commander Wyman and her team." "Aye captain
it'll be ready for her before they step off the turbo lift." The
young ensign said. Josh then closes the channel. "Maintain
sensor scans, put the planet on screen please." The entire
planet appears on the main view screen. "Now where are the ones
that attacked them, and why" Josh said to himself.

Shuttle Bay 1
Kira had quickly made her way to the shuttle bay and sat down on
a crate nearby the shuttle they would be using. She nodded and
smiled at the ensign who was preparing it and she knew all she
could do was wait. Wait for everyone to arrive, board and then
make their way to the planet. She wofered what theyd come up
against and always hoped for a peaceful solution.

Now that Commander Wyman had left for the Shuttlebay, Brooke
delegated the task of running the sensors to Ensign Roberts and
the team in the lab with the instruction to keep her and the
Captain notified especially if there were any unexpected
changes. Satisfied that everything was in hand she vacated her
seat so the Ensign could take over and walked over to the
command area. Her thoughts were not only on being temporary XO
but also on the away team and her husband and could imagine how
he had reacted to being chosen as it had been some time since he
had last been away from the ship. That didn't mean she wouldn't
worry about which we would even more so with the way her
emotions where at the moment but knew he could take care of
himself. However she put that to all one side as she sat down
beside the Captain and looked out at the planet.

Josh watched as Brooke sat down in the chair next to him.
"Comfortable chair isn't it? " Josh said with slight laughter in
his voice. "Have the senors detected anything yet." Josh then
felt some worry come over him. "I hope this isn't some kind of
trap." Josh spoke out loud.
