Josh nodded his head. "Thank you Lietuenennt." Josh hated the
fact that he could no longer simply call him brother due to the
fact that he is now the commanding officer.

Briefing Room
Looking up and nodding at the commander she tried to dismiss her
thoughts and just hoped that the brief would begin so she'd have
something to put her mind on. She leant herself against the wall
next to the door so she could see everyone sat down and
entering. She moved slightly left at the entrance of the Llingon
to keep her space. 'How Josh lived with that.... I'll never know
how he did it' she thought, smiling to herself.

Brooke smiled when Elihu received his promotion and walked over
to the table, she was about to sit down in the Second Officers
spot when he took it instead, knowing that there would be a
logical reason why he had done so and not that it bothered her "
Congratulations Lieutenant" she said as she sat down in her
normal seat and waited for her husband to join her.

Josh looked around the table, seeing his friends he's served
with for a while now. It still felt a little strange to him
that he's now their commanding officer. "We'll begin as soon as
doctor Garett arrives, so let me just say this again. I'm very
proud of all of you. You each worked hard to recieve your
promotions, i predict nothing but good things in your careers."

"Sorry I'm late," Rebecca said as she entered the room a little
out of breath, "Damn lift stopped on every floor, or so it
felt..." Taking her seat she crossed her ankles, folded her
hands into her lap and placed a simple base smile on her lips.

"No worries doctor. You're just in time. Now that we have
everyone i just want to say a few things have changed. One
being the obvious change in command, the new promotions to
these well deserving people, and Lieutenant Shepard as our new
chief of security. We are currently operating without an ops
department head at the moment but myself and Commander Wyman
will figure that out. Also another change, effective
immediately the chief medical officer will be assigned on each
away mission. Sometime things arise and valuable time can be
lost during transport." Josh looked around the table and sighed.
"Now for our task at hand. We've lost contact with Hawking
colony. They said to be under attack but it has been hours since
an update from them. We're the only ship close to investigate,
right now we don't have any idea who is attacking so we are
truly going in blind. So i want full senor scans, weapons
ready at a split seconds notice, Commander prepare an away team,
Commander Edwards, I'm fully aware of your situation i can not
permit you to be on the away team. It doesn't reflect
negatively on you of course and i hope you know that. You'll
serve as my first officer until the team returns. Does anyone
have any questions, concerns or suggestions? "

Brooke listened as the Captain spoke and when it came to the
away team and her not being able to take part, she had to admit
that she had a feeling that this might happen with her pregnancy
and knew that he wouldn't of taken the decision lightly. Yes it
was a little frustrating but accepted it and knew that he only
had her best interests at heart and no doubt Jacob would also be
happier knowing she was safe. " No questions from me Captain, I
understand and I'll have Science run the sensor scans".

Bridge
Kira listened into what the captain had to say and then nodded.
"I will get it done as soon as I have the time to captain." Kira
knew she had a few things to do on while they were on the way
and she knew they'd have the time.
Looking at each person in the room separately as she thought
about the Triumph, she looked back at the captain and smiled.
"No questions from me captain, I'm ready to get underway." She
finished, finally sitting down in her seat next to the captain.

"Very well people let's get to work, dismissed. " Josh said to
everyone. "Commander Wyman, Lieutenant M'Konel please stay a
moment." Josh looked over at doctor Garett before she departed.
"Doctor please wait for me in my ready room, I'll join you in a
few moments." He then looked over at Commander Wyman and
Lieutenant M'Konel. "I noticed the two of you haven't had much
interaction so we have a few hours before we arrive so please by
all means talk about something." Josh then patted her on her
right shoulder. Then he departed the observation lounge and made
his way to his ready room where doctor Garrett was waiting for
him.
Captain's Ready Room
Josh entered his ready room and walked over to the replicator.
"I recieved your message about wanting to have a little chat.
Would you like anything to drink? "
