Mission 1.1 Small Planet, Large Prey

USS Atlantis - Captain's Ready Room
=/\= To all ships in the vicinity of Hadir VI, this is Hawking
Colony we are under attack from forces unknown and we
............. =/\= "And that is where the signal was either
blocked or lost" Admiral Cobb turned to look at the Caitian
through the view screen.
"I want you and your crew to take the ship and investigate what
is happening, be careful Dyson we can't afford to lose a good
crew like yours" B'Ozian nodded in agreement before he stood and
paced around the room with his hands behind his back.
"So Admiral I am sure you are aware I am still awaiting my new
Chief of Operations, But we can be underway almost immediately "
He was about to add more when the Admiral spoke.
"Don't let me detain you Captain, every second may count, Cobb
Out" He closed the link as soon as he said the words.
It only took that brief moment for B'Ozian to reach up and tap
his comm badge "Helm, Set course for Hadir VI, Maximum warp"
with that he tidied his desk and made his log entry before
stepping onto the bridge.
Bridge
"Get us under way and then I will brief you all on the
situation" He strode over and took his seat in the centre of the
bridge.

Bridge
Josh heard the captains orders. With the sudden change of
course and the way he said the course change he knew something
wasn't right. He began running system checks as a precaution so
if there was any problems they could be fixed enroute.

The Edwards Quarters
Brooke was in the middle of getting ready for her first shift on
the Bridge as the new Chief Science Officer but try as she might
her usual uniform just wasn't feeling right on her and knew that
it was finally time to replicate a slightly bigger one thanks to
her now 12 week baby bump. Not that she was complaining as it
was bound to happen sooner or later and by the time the baby was
due no doubt there would be several changes in uniform. After
replicating a new one she put it on along with her solid gold
pip and took one look in the mirror. Satisfied that she was
happy her thoughts turned to her new role and how nervous she
felt at the prospect of being in charge of the whole department
but deep down knew it was probably first day nerves and that she
was capable of doing it. Turning to look over at her husband
"Well I think I'll do, I better get to the Bridge " She said
walking over to him and slid her arms around him "I'll see you
after shift for that movie night".

XO's Quarters.
Maria was just finishing some toast she'd got in the Mess Hall,
and taken back to her quarters to eat while she read some files
that the Captain had sent her to read.
When she ship suddenly turned, Maria looked up from the PADD and
out the window.
Standing up from her chair, she walked out of her quarters and
headed straight to the Bridge.
Bridge.
After a short walk and ride in the Turbolift, Maria arrived at
the Bridge, to see the Captain sat in the Command Chair.
Walking alongside him she simply said "Sir." and then stood
beside him with her hands linked behind her back, so she could
hear anything the Captain said, as well as see out the View
Screen.

Transporter Room - Starbase
It hadn't been long since Kira had arrived in 8th fleet and all
of a sudden she'd been reassigned, straight after being put into
the fleet, and she wasn't sure whether it pleased her or not.
After all, it came with a second officer position but it came as
a surprise to her. She was 24 and already had made it to some
form of partial command position, something which she'd always
be grateful for. The admiralty must've seen something in her to
take her this far this, quickly, she thought.
Kira dismissed her thoughts and looked over to the transporter
chief in the room, the man looked at her and smiled. "You ready,
ma'am?" The chief asked. Kira looked over at him and gave a soft
smile. She nodded, then spoke. "Yeah, beam me over when you're
ready." She looked forward and went back to her thoughts which
she usually dropped herself into and she was beamed over shortly
after.
Transporter Room - USS Atlantis
When Kira materialised in the transporter room, she looked at
the transporter officer and nodded at him. "Inform the captain I
have arrived. I'm going to drop off my things and get changed."
The transporter chief nodded and then Kira picked up the duffel
bag and left the room for the quarters she had been assigned,
which were shown on the PADD with her transfer orders.
As Kira left, the transporter officer, ensign Clark, tapped his
combadge. =^="Captain, your COO has arrived.=^= the officer
finished.
Kira's Quarters
Kira swiftly made her way over to her quarters and dropped the
duffel bag onto her bed. She walked into the shower and quickly
showered, then changed into her uniform and got changed. It was
just short of 10 minutes and she was just preparing to leave her
quarters.

KnodwI was down in the Armory doing his manditory inventory of
all the weapons for security, when the comm from the Captaincome
through the 1 MC.
=^= Lt. Shepard, inventory of all weapons are accounted for.
=^=
Then he left the armory to make his way to the bridge to take
his post at the secondary tactical position

nervous ad hell but he knew he would do just fine. In fact, he
was looking forward to see how everyone will perform under his
command.

her "Yeah. I gotta get to Engineering. I'm nervous but I am
excited." He held her hand and walked with her down the hall to
the nearest turbolift.

Josh heard the call from his brother acknowledging what he knew
already since it was his brother doing it. He liked that KnodwI
had a very good sense of duty and honor.
=^=Acknowledged Lieutenant.=^= Josh responded to his brother.
Then he recieved notice that the new second officer has arrived.
Josh acknowledged the transporter room.
"Captain Commander Wyman is on board. "
Josh was sure he already knew but Josh always strives to be vet
precise.

Deck 2 - Corridor
"I know how you feel, I'm nervous too although part of mine
could also be the nausea caused by little miss" Brooke replied
smiling at her husband as they walked hand in hand towards the
lift. " But I have every faith in you and your a good Engineer
Jake " She said when they reached the lift, she always called
him Jake when they were together and knew how much he liked her
to call him it. Stepping into the lift she looked at her husband
" Where to first the Bridge or Engineering ?".

Bridge.
Maria heard the report of Wyman being aboard, and said to the
Captain "Looks like our journey can begin." She said as the ship
went to warp, leaving the starbase in their rearview mirror.
