       Turning Radius Adjustment

       Hey all,
I like to do the simple stuff first...and this fix is as simple
       as it gets.
The turning radius on my 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R was abysmal. My
turning orbit was on par with that of the moon!
Thankfully, the 690 has some adjustment play available in the
       handlebar stops.

These are way too far out. Back off the locknut ...

...then screw in the handlebar stop.

How far you screw it in is a matter of experimentation; just
make sure the screw is hitting the "backstop" on the frame.
Don't just screw it in all the way. If you do, your fork will
make contact with the frame. Notice the locktite. I'm a big
       fan of locktite.
       You go from this:

       To this:

It doesn't look like a huge improvement, but it's worth the
time. It won't turn the 690 into a trials bike, but every bit
       helps.

Still clears all cables/wires and plastic bits etc? No hitting
       or rubbing?

I made sure that the bumper was contacting the stop. I had to
adjust outward once because I'd over adjusted and my fork was
contacting the frame--I just had to back the screw out a little
more. I made sure that no wires were rubbing or pinched. I'll
check periodically to ensure that there are no wear marks.
       Overall, I don't think there's a downside. Obviously, if I
choose to install a radiator brace or front fuel tanks (or
whatever) I'll have to readjust. But it's about as simple a mod
as could be imagined--and it's completely reversible.
       YMMV

       Hi,
I just bought a brand new 2016 690 R Enduro, I had to pay before
I could ride it :) On my first ride (about an hour ago) I
reached my destination and tried to turn around and almost fell
of the bike because of this turning circle issue :( can't
believe it's still a problem .. also found this:

So I just wanted to thank you so much for this guidance and ask
one question.. I can see your speedometer.. why is mine obscured
by the cables? how did you fix that?

Did you find an answer to the cables obscuring the speedometer?
