Short Ride with two 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R's

I went riding today with DrBlackbird near Houston.
And for those of you who are curious...,yes, he is a blackbird.
He also has the inside line on a area in which we can ride as
long as we promise to tread lightly.
So here they are, two brand spankin' new KTM 690 Enduro R's.

DrBB has been in the dirt with his, mine still bas that showroom
       polish--not for long.
There's not a lot of elevation around here other than the
levees, so we puttered around in the woods and crossed some
       boggy areas:

After crossing this little bog a few times it became very
difficult to cross. DRblackbird was up to his tailpipe on the
       return trip.
Properly christened, Lorna needs some cleaning:

The handling of the 690 Enduro felt light, but the rear end felt
heavier in the mud and than my WR250R. Throttle response was
excellent. She could lug around at 7 mph without modulating the
clutch. I only stalled once, but that was my fault for dumping
       the throttle while hardly moving.
The turning radius is appalling. I'm told that I can adjust the
turning radius--I'm gonna do that today and post a go-by.
I really wanna get Lorna out in the mountains, but that'll have
       to wait for another day.

I adjusted the Steering stops all the way in and the turning
radius still sucks. We will just have steer with the throttle I
       guess.

Even a "Short Ride" on these bikes is a Dream........Yep,...Our
"Fearless Leader" did good out in the Swamps of Houston......I
don't think I have any of him with his bike....I'm glad he came
with a Air-Hawk seat, otherwise, it was difficult to tell the
       bikes apart........
       .
One thing I've noticed,....These bikes are hard to get
clean....with the trellis frame n all.......
       .
We had a good time christening our over priced
dirt-bikes...........I'm thinking that I'm really going to like
       this bike........Thanks KTM.
