Did the Peruns new tank bolts this week, nice looking product
and fit nice, bushings fit with a slip fit. I changed the top
bolts first, one at a time. Added a little blue locktite. Then
propped up the tank with a piece of plywood on my rear tire to
change the bottom bolt. Hardest part is removing the air box !
P.S. Didn't find much wear after two years and several rallies,
but I had my Gila tank rack on all this time so I'm surmising
the rack was doing its job as an additional support member. I
plan to do the ODCDR this summer and feel much more confident
with the perun bolts done. Now some case covers on the short
       list.

Just did the bolt switcheroo the other day. Went with Perun's
kit from Serbia. Here's a quality comparison:

Perun's design is way smarter. The metal quality seemed superior
       too.

You only need to lift the subframe slightly to gain access to
the lower bolt. My bushings didn't need to be replaced, but once
again, u don't pass on the opportunity to put in a higher grade
piece of equipment on the bike.

Had to use a tire iron to pry up the tank just a smidge so I
could get a straight shot at sinking the lower bolt thru the
sleeve. To be honest, I'd get a second pair of hands and make
sure u got barely any fuel in the tank so it's as light as
       possible.
In all, I think the kit was like $85 or something and its well
worth the money. Fairly easy to install and is of high quality.
So now that I've got the upgraded bolts it's time to get me a
Rotopax cube and another small Kriega bag. Then it's off to
       WV/KY/TN/NC area 8)

I mentioned this in the installation thread so I'll repeat it
here. I can't speak to what Prerun's bolt is like but RR's bolt
head is too thick. It places the plastic side panel such that
one can easily hook their boot top under the side panel. When
this happens you are not aware of it until you need to move your
foot, to for instance dab a foot or reposition. Your foot will
be locked on the footpeg. You will panic. Trust me on this.
       You might even fall.
I had my stock bolt modified by cutting off the threaded section
and tapping the barrel for the 8mm bolt.
       April 16th
The side panel is now flush with the tank as it is stock. I did
find however that the welded bolt mount broke off the frame.
The rust will be removed and I'll have it welded back on today.
I've heard that many a welded bolts have separated from the
frame on KTM, Husky, Husaberg cycles.

Is there a link to Prerun's hardware?
       Thanks,

I just PM'd him. He hit me up via email. Good dude. His profile
is further up on the page. Hit him up. Who knows if he's got any
left. I'm sure glad I got mine installed. I ride around with
like 30+ lbs of crap on my bike! :P

I second the quality of PreRun's kit. Received it much quicker
than expected. It's not as "shiny/finished" as RR's, but I'd
much rather save the coin. The lower sleeve was about 1/16-1/8"
too long, but 10 seconds on the bench grinder fixed it up. The
lower bolt might also be a tad too long, but I'm nit picking at
this point. Pretty solid parts, and recommend for other big lugs
       like me.
I have not had any snags on the bolts either. Fit was otherwise
       great.
It could just be my imagination, but the tank/subframe felt
slightly tighter when pushing the bike hard.
Oh, and FYI, I have a 2014. He has new kits done.
