Went ahead and bought the Mofo explorer tires, hope to give feed
back in a few weeks as that will be the first thing I do after
April 15th.

I have put a set on with tubliss inserts. I balanced them with
the set screw on wheel weight (4-1oz/wheel). Just finished 2k
miles I them including 1600 miles in Mexico. They were flawless.
Used them on and off pavement. I ended up adding RideOn sealant
after experiencing slow leaks after install. They now hold air
and with the balancing the mirrors actually are useable at
70mph!
I am currently set up in adventure riding mode. I'll be trying
to wear these out by summer when I get back into 90/10 dirt
riding mode for Colorado this summer. I think I'll try a MT43 on
the rear then, not sure about the front.
The Mefo Explorers are definitely a worthwhile choice for a
50/50 set up!

Thanks for the excellent report Oddfellow. I have had a pair of
Tubliss and the Explorers waiting to go on for at least 3 weeks.
Just had my first weekend off after a solid month of working
6-10 ( redbull is your friend). Definitely like the MT-43 on my
300 for the gnarly offroad stuff. The rigid sidewalls on them
help them remain stable for those of us who like to banzaii the
corners on pavement transitions.

The 2,400 mile update on the Mefos is that they are wearing well
and I estimate that they will be done at 4,000. Tubliss on the
rear sealed totally after a couple of weeks from the initial
tiny leak of about 1-2 lbs overnight.

OK this is the latest update on the Mefo Super Explorers: They
are a most excellent tire if your primary application is
pavement, gravel, and light sand. They are most excellent on
black top with amazing grip on extreme lean angles.
