Hey All,
I was reading about the radiator guards. Is this true, the bike
has minimal protection without them? Seems strange one assumes
this thing is going to be dumped off road.

Yep, if you dump this bike on the road more than likely your
radiator is gonna get tweaked. I went down hard once last year
and didn't have my radiator tweaked. Got lucky I suppose. I did
have R&G frame sliders though, I think that helped. Not so sure
even if you bought the rinky dink radiator braces they sell that
it would protect it much if u were to totally dump it on the
pavement. I seriously doubt it. I was thinking about scoring a
Cox racing shield for my radiator though. A lotta twigs and shit
can puncture into ur radiator through the front. :P

I've dumped mine several times without radiator damage. I've
had to replace my clutch cover (which is armored now). I guess
I've been lucky with the radiator.

Just ordered some rim locks and tubes. I run my tires at low
pressure for off road. I took it for a short road ride to work
and on my way back home I had to make a panic stop. Ripped the
valve stem on my front tube.
