2014 KTM 690 Enduro R -- Shipping Date

Hey all,
Anyone else got money down on a 2014 690 Enduro R? I was told I
am first in line and my new 690 Enduro would arrive early
February.
Anyone hear different? Please drop word if you hear anything.
If you actually GET one, post up ASAP!

According to Genuflector:
I just had today the dealer on the phone, he confirmed the 19th
of february as assembly date in Mattighofen, after that, two
weeks are going to be needed for Kati to be in my garage.
Thanks Genuflector! That's the closest thing to a confirmation
I've heard yet (and I've been listening pretty hard).

I'm almost on the USA west coast in Arizona & have a deposit for
the 1st 2014 690R at my dealership. He originally said
mid-January but we all know what was very optimistic.
Meanwhile, the dealer has received the '14 Duke's so said it
should be anytime now & that KTM starts in the east & works
their way westward. Don't know if this means 2 weeks or 2
months; I'm trying not to pester my dealer. So, still holding
my breath here in Arizona!
Already have my shopping cart full & waiting at KTMtwins.com!

Rusty: Thanks for the welcome; nice 690 place you've got here!
As for my own delivery date here in Arizona, I'd prefer to pick
up my 690R along with a nice '14 Duke; how sweet would THAT be?
Just a fantasy but KTM is making some very, very nice bikes
right now.
Btw, does anyone know why KTM has tons of dirt bikes on the
dealer floors but the amazing 690 is in such short supply
year-after-year? I've got a KTM 200XC-W myself so no disrespect
to KTM, but when buyers have $$$ in-hand & have to wait, it
seems a bit odd.
Any thoughts?

Okay, it looks like I win. ;D My dealer called today,
technically yesterday since it's past midnight now, to tell me
that my bike was delivered. It'll be assembled today. I was
just approved for lending, so all's left is the paperwork.
The problem? My salesperson doesn't work until Tuesday! I
wonder if they'd give me a dealer's plate if I gave them some
more earnest money? I really hate the idea of waiting another
five days--especially when I have the next four days off!
At least it's cold in Houston right now. It actually SNOWED
today. If it was sunny and 72, I'd steal it off the lot.

Rusty, tell the dealer you changed your mind, don't want the
2014 690R & to ship it to the guy waiting in Arizona!
I think yours is the first notification I've read about; ride
report when you get a chance?
