FmF muffler Q4 series
By: fonzy9 Date: November 16, 2014, 3:38 am

Hi to all.
I'm kind of new to this group and not native English speaker so
I apologies in advance if my English is not perfect :-)
I'm planning on changing the stock muffler with an FmF muffler.
I saw quit a few akrapovitz and they feel and sound great but
they cost three times more then the FmF ones.
I had a power bomb on my previous bike (ktm 250F) and it was to
loud for my liking, so I'm thinking about the Q series.
I understand they are quieter... does anyone have experience
with this mufflers he can share?
Thank you in advance,
Roee Ran, ISRAEL

have you looked into the Wings exhaust? Seems that most are
going that route - cheaper and perhaps better......

No remapping either.

Hey fonzy9! Israel eh? Cool, I bet there are some killer places
to ride there! No pun intended.. LOL.. Anyways, I have the FMF
Powercore & yes it is pretty loud. I love it. But I know a guy
locally that has the Q4 with the powerbomb & it sounds really
nice. Louder then stock for sure but not "hear me roar!" like
the Powercore. I put almost 12,000 miles on my FMF pipe this
year & have had no issues. As for price, FMF has the pipe with
the biggest bang for the buck or Shekel if your from Israel.
Good luck.

It's pretty loud but it stays a lot cooler than the stock can.

I used to run the Q4 on my WR250R. It sounded great around town
but tended to drone too loud on the freeway. But that could
have been because the WR revs so high on the freeway, so it
might be apples and oranges.
The Wings exhaust is what I went with. It sounds great, but
quiets down at low RPM's. I'm really happy with it.
Either can will be a vast improvement over the stock
garbage-can.
