690 no more?

The eicma show had a new Ktm...albeit a Husky mode bike. It's
701 cc super motard...looks like a 690 with new plastics and
colors.
Nothing in regards to a 2015 690 but I'm thinking but it's a
move to increase customer base via the bold new graphics concept
that makers use when they haven't done much new for the year.
I can't post pics or graphics cause I don't do the Facebook
Twitter pic share stuff but you can all Google it.

Given how quickly the 690 Enduro sells out each year, I think
it's safe from cancellation.

I think your right...now husky is Ktm owned it's probably
catering to the husky diehards. I think the real evidence of
this is the way it's wound up the berg brand. Good bikes but
just didn't sell well enough, and were door stops in the second
hand market.
Husky had a big base to work with, and the 701 I think will be
the 690 motor but the plastics and styling have been husky'd.
It's in sm form, so it's interesting to see if Ktm still
produces an sm version of the big enduro.
Have a look at the pics and tell me that I'm seeing a 690 donk
and frame etc.

Same engine and frame, but 5kg heavier for some reason. Nowhere
near as interesting looking as the original concept bike.

The 701 Supermoto is supposed to have a .6 gallon larger fuel
tank as well. Hmm...wonder if it will fit the Enduro R? ;D
