       On my third 690R

I had a 2013 UK model but it was stolen last year after just one
longish ride to Orkney and the Outer Hebrides. Clearly though
it was the right sort of bike for what I wanted to do.

So I bought a Spanish-plated 2013 bike which I've now got at our
cave in Spain. I did a 5000-km tour of Morocco last month and
it performed extremely well. It's currently standard apart from
pannier rails, rear rack and a Wings exhaust (I was afraid the
standard exhaust would melt the luggage roll).

I've also taken delivery of a 2014 bike in London. This will
get a bit more modification for the northern European climate,
       so possibly a Lynx fairing.

       Welcome, O mighty Tim!

       Sorry.
The names "Tim," "Robin," "Arthur," and "Charles Dickens" always
make me reference Monty Python, even if a declining pool of
people know what the hell I'm talking about.
I suffer similar troubles if the words "expurgated, bouzouki,
swallow (African OR European), Norwegian Blue," or "elderberry"
       are mentioned.
With three bikes under your belt, you're sure to have some
useful tidbits knocking around in your brain.

"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smells of
       elderberries."
       Dickens you say? Errrr:
       I'm jealous!
Enjoy Oh Mighty Tim. If I decide not to get the Super Adventure
1290 next spring I may have to rig mine up with luggage like you
       have done.
