Dave - I got the Adventure Spec one a few weeks back - a lot of
coverage. My second choice was the flatlands one - looks good.

Yea, I chose AS due to the extra master cylinder protection. I
also got their rear top rack, and the side engine covers....all
in black.
Definitely not the cheapest options... but really seem well
made, and I have only heard good reviews on their stuff

dave - only thing I would do differently is NOT get the black
side case guard or skid. scratches off then looks crappy.

I already bought them all, and have them waiting to put on. I
have a very short time window to get all my stuff installed and
bike broken in by July 15th. So you have already seen they
scratch that easy ? I had a black one from HappyTrails on my
KLR, never seemed to really show that bad..... oh well...
Guess I will carry an extra wide black Sharpie with me for the
aesthetic touch ups ;) so when you ride along and you hear
rocks hitting your skid...do you say to yourself.... "
ouch..that'll leave a mark... " ;)

Sorry if we hijacked this thread.....
Dave - see my thread below. this was only after 100-150 miles
(if that much) of trails in WV - and not many rocky sections.

Will see how it looks come Monday after this weekends 200 mile
dualsport in PA.

Also sorry if the thread was hijacked. Figured we are
discussing skid plates..... otherwise all we would do is look
at the original picture...go " ooooh ahhhhh" and that would
be that ;)

them an email....wondering what their response is.

The scratches just give you street cred. 8)
I've had people remark on the scratches on my handguards and
pings on my bashplate; it's a conversation starter.
An unscathed bashplate is a shameful thing.
