       New fuel pump

So it had to happen, don't they all?
New fuel pump went in this am...the old one wasn't cutting out
but it had started to refuse to prime after the bike became hot.
Give it 10 mins to cool and it was fine, away it went. But
that's a classic sign of a faltering fuel pump, so the stocker
       had to go.
I bet KTM copped a lot of grief over its crap fuel pumps (as has
a few other marques who use the same pump). But then again, I
bet the Chinese supplier of such rubbish copped a lot more! And
lost a few contracts as well.
So anyway a new pump fitted today...and what did I learn this
time around? A few extra cable ties help to firm up the various
lines, for when they get pushed back into the tank. Anything to
stop the fuel lines getting a kink.
That said, I did the deed, fired the new pump a couple of times
to prime, hit the starter and after 3 seconds it fired and ran
fine. I let it do it's 15min throttle reset just to see if it
stalled etc. it didn't. It ran fine, maybe smoother than
previously at idle, so I think the old pump was on its way out
       for sometime.
After the 15 I shut it down, restarted and it fired up great.
I think that's a job well done. Let's just hope it lasts!
