Howdy from Magnolia, TX (Houston-ish)

Hi everyone.
I am the proud owner of a 2014 690 as of last week. I found one
in Dallas and bought it immediately. My only dual sport
experience is on a somewhat street legal 300XC in Cloudcroft, NM
last year, and one trip to Big Bend on a 530. Regardless, I knew
that I wanted to keep riding/racing my 300 and also start
experimenting with the DS world as well. The 690 was an easy
choice.
I'm going to break it in next week in Big Bend. I'll post my
thoughts afterwards.

Welcome to the forum Bent (or Ty, I guess). DrBlackbird (Gary),
TenFootGlass (Pat), Dane1960, and I are all from Katy. We'll
have to get together sometime. I hope you find the site useful.
Don't forget to share your questions or wisdom with the forum;
it's quickly becoming a great resource for 690 owners (IMHO).
Thanks for telling Ty about us, Chris.
