       Flush Mount Turnsignal by Sicass -- Install

       Hey all,
       1300 miles on my 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R, and it's already melted
       its turn signal.

       You'd think that KTM would've gotten a handle on this by now.
       No matter, I just picked these up from Sicass Racing:

       They're already fixed with the proper connection, so it's
       plug-n-play!
       I worried that I'd have to remove the whole backend to get to
       the wires...nope, just the two bolts that hold the taillight
       need be removed.

       Both stock signals are fixed to the bike with a single bolt.
       Notice that the tail section is cracked, this was true on both
       sides--annoying.  Also notice the "made in Italy" stamp...I
       wasn't aware that Italy had a hand...maybe that's why it's
       cracked ;).
       The new blinkers are held on with a single bolt as well.  You
       could use the stock mounting points, but it didn't look flush.

       I bolted the blinker on using the new hole, but ran the wire
       through the old hole.  Here's a shot with the new signal on one
       side and the old one on the other:

       Sorry the photo sucks.  The signals are very tucked in and mount
       semi-flush with the newly drilled hole.

       They appear fairly bright.  I went with the smoke colored lens,
       primarily to look cool. 8)
       Stuff all the wires back in, screw down the taillight bolts, and
       you're good.  Be sure to use loctite!  The signal and taillight
       bolts were pretty loose before I started.
       Pretty happy with the result.  My only complaint is that the
       taillights aren't an exact match.  The blinker on the left has a
       hard rubber gasket that fit cleanly to the bike.  The right
       blinker has a soft rubber gasket that curled when the blinker
       was tightened.  On closer inspection, I noticed that the left
       signal lens was clear and the right lens was a bit cloudy.  It's
       almost as if they packaged a new signal with a slightly older
       one.  Weird.  I may call Sicass about it.   If I have any
       durability issues I'll update this post.
