Are you folks running this exhaust with the stock mapping or the
       KTM "option map"?

I'm running stock mapping. I installed the Wings & did the
enviro modifications at the same time. Just let the bike ideal
       15 min. It runs great.
Why modify the mapping when I cannot ride it as fast as it will
       go?

I've run the stock map with no complaints. The bike sounds
       great.

Thanks guys. I just ordered my "Wings" from their Canadian
dealer, Alternate Cycle. About $580 shipped, is what they told
me. I should be "flying" soon.

MCRider - Enviro mod..... What exactly did you do? (blank off
plate and remove the SAS? - what are the steps taken?)
I am about to purchase the Wings exhaust and also change out the
thermostat switch. Want to have the bike run a little cooler
since I will not have the catalytic convert (stock muffler) -
what else do I need to do?

Truck11. If your bike is a 2014, you don't need the SAS
block-off plate and dongle. The 2014 doesn't have the SAS. The
dual spark plugs make the engine run cleaner. After installing
the pipe, do the 15min. idle reset so the computer can adjust
for the new exhaust. When performing the reset do not touch the
throttle while starting the engine and during the 15 minutes.
Have a fan or two blowing air through the radiator in addition
to the bike's fan. My bike runs great without remapping. You
can remap to optimize performance for the new exhaust, if you
       want.

       truck,
Here is what I found on ADV to follow. It worked & after the 15
min run in I've never looked back.
       [quote]Canisterectomy:
       1. Go to RadioShack and buy a pack of 1000 Ohm, 1/4 Watt
       resistors.
       2. Go to the auto parts store and buy a 6mm vacuum port
       cap/plug.
       3. Follow the hose from the canister to the left side of the
throttle body. Disconnect and place the vacuum cap on the brass
       nipple,
       reuse the clamp/clip to secure.
       4. Take the vent hose from the gas cap and disconect from
canister and vent to atmosphere, trim as required. Make sure the
       open end is
in a place where it will not get blocked with mud. Cut at an
       angle to help with this.
       5. Remove the canister from the bike.
       6. Remove the solinoid from the bike.
       7. Jump the 2 pins on the plug that went into the solinoid with
a 1000 Ohm, 1/4 Watt resistor. If you have dielectric grease,
place in terminals before installing resistor.
       8. Tape up resistor/plug assembly with electrical tape to
waterproof and zip tie out of the way.
       9. I have had no FI light or error codes for over 8k miles with
this setup. If you do not want to do the resistor mod then
just leave the solinoid attached, with hoses removed.
       SAS Removal:
       1. Go to auto parts store and buy 2 12mm or 1/2 in vacuum port
       caps/plugs.
       2. On top of the valve cover there is an aluminum manifold with
two rubber hoses comminmg off. One hose goes to the right side
       plastic
cover/vent filter. The other, facing forward, goes to the
       left side SAS solinoid.
       3. Remove this SAS hose and cap the manifold with the 12mm
vacuum cap and use the clamp/clip to secure.
       4. Remove the SAS solinoid and place a 1000 Ohm, 1/4 Watt
resistor in the plug same as for the canister.
       5. Follow the other hose from the SAS solinoid to the underside
of the air box. Remove and cap the airbox with the other 12mm
       vacuum cap.
       6. Be careful under the airbox as adjacent to the hose is the
connector for the intake air temp sensor. This is fragile and
       folks have
had bad luck pulling wires out of the connector. Be sure to
unplug this before trying to remove the airbox.
Bike should start right up and should not have any FI light or
different running characteristics after these mods.
This just cleans up that area a bit.
Do not remove the SAS if you still have the stock map and the
cat converter muffler or the cat will overheat and could melt
       the tank.

Chris - is that info from ADV for pre-2014, or all years?

Truck, that post is for 2013 and earlier. I have a 2014 and
bought the SAS block off plate and dongle from KTM Twins and had
to return them when I discovered the 2014 bikes don't have the
SAS. The 15 minute idle reset procedure is the same for the
2014's. When KTM added the second spark plug, the SAS wasn't
       needed anymore.
