       Went for a ride today!

       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was cold here this morning, but just before quitting time I
walked outside and decided that I'm goin' for a ride!
This thing is AWESOME!!! I think it is just what I've been
looking for all along. I can't wait until it's broke in. I
only put 40 miles on it today but I was smiling the whole time
and I haven't even moved the map switch off of 0 yet.
This will be the second time I've added fuel and I'm
consistently at 42 MPG. Nice! That is flogging it from low
speeds to 70-80 MPH on gravel roads, I imagine it will be much
better when I start holding a constant speed. Compared to the
KLR's average of 34 and the KLX 450R in the mid 20's this is a
       good sign.
The one concern I have is the carrying capacity. Not so much of
the bike itself but of the current luggage system I have going.
I'm going to have to add a few more bags and plan accordingly.
On the KLR I have a big Wolfman duffel that can fit a lot. On
this bike I currently have an enduro tank bag
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=79<br
/>(off of the KLX), a set of E-12 saddle bags
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=74,<br
       />an enduro duffel
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm/product/94/enduro-duffel-bag.cfm<br
       />and an enduro carry all
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=91.<br
       /> I have a enduro tool bag
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=90<br
/>with the tool roll that will get mounted to the rear fender
       and
       a enduro fender bag
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=92<br
/>for tubes. I think the KTM front fender should be able to
handle that without support. This setup will be more than
       enough for around home base.
What I'm thinking of adding for longer trips are some (3)
       Wolfman rolies.
  HTML http://www.wolfmanluggage.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=82<br
/> I'm thinking a large one will fit between the duffel and the
tool bag and maybe a medium set for tank panniers. Hopefully
that will give me enough space for all my stuff. Once again my
only concern is all the bags are relatively small so it is going
to be tough finding space for larger items, for example my
overpants and a set of shoes to wear at camp/destination.
As a side note I have't received the paperwork from my dealer so
I can register the bike. Today has marked a month. Monday I
was pulled over and received a warning for no plate. I hope the
paperwork arrives soon as the weather is getting nice and I want
       to ride!
I'm a pretty happy camper. I'm going to have to do my first oil
change soon... better get some filters on order.
I hope you all are having as much or even more fun than I am!

       Hey SDMF_Reaps,
Glad you like it! I picked up a 14 this year too. I just took
mine off of setting 0 and went to 3. It was already responsive
       on zero, but now... ;D.
I'm going to try the Kriega US20 on the back with a NR rack.
Let me know how the tank bag works out, I could be looking for
       that next.
It looks like you are considering a lot of luggage, I'm going
       more for minimal luggage.
