Doubletake mirrors??
By: truck11 Date: February 25, 2014, 12:09 pm

Anyone use the Doubletake mirrors?
HTML http://www.doubletakemirror.com
Do the stock 2014 690 mirrors fold? I need to put the bike
under a cover as it will sit outside in my parking space - so
folding mirrors might be needed for cover to fit.
Also folded when off roading.
There goes another $100.......

I have used the DoubleTake mirrors, they are expensive and well
made but are not perfect. They are surprisingly heavy (quality
glass mirror), don't always stay in place, and for me sometimes
can't be angled enough forward to not hit my forearm when
standing.
I may try the KTM folding mirrors next.

I had a set on my last bike and loved them. They're my next
purchase. They've got to be an improvement over the stockers!

I have them on my 525 since it did come with any mirrors - I
like them on that bike, but so far the stock mirrors seem pretty
good on the 14 690 - they are kind of high and goofy looking,
but you can see over your arms with them.

I'm not discounting the stock mirrors, just that I need to be
able to throw a cover on the bike as it sits outside :-( so I
need to fold the 'Antennas' down!
My last set of folding mirrors SUCKED - these DoubleTake ones
are a little more, ok a lot more, expensive, but seem to be a
lot better in many ways.

They are so much better than those damn stock mirrors. Once a
stock mirror takes a decent hit, it buzzes and sounds like crap.
Drop the $$$ and get a pair.

I saw mirrors that looked like these on the Dr. Enduro website
like for 20 bucks each. follow the link

The $20 mirrors are fine if they are just there to pass the
requirement for mirrors, but they are no way as good as the
double-take mirrors.

+1
Those mirrors are a complete fail as far as seeing anything as
are the other lightweight plastic folding type that look
similar.
