I have been doing this event for the last 14+ years (only missed
2) and have to say it is the best dualsport event on the east
coast. Very well organized for such a large rider turn out.
They do have routes for big bikes (think KLR650, 990's, 1200GS
etc) - but I will say both routes merge and there are a few
challenging sections for the big ADV bikes. I have done it on
my DR650 and DRZ400 - hope to ride it this year with the 690 -
main route, not the big bike route!
Let me know if you are interested in riding with us. Have a few
others friends meeting up for this event (Honda 230 & 650,
KTM350 DRZ400 and a nice spread of ages and experience).

The kid I was riding behind was 16 and pretty new to dualsport
stuff.

Nice videos! I definitely want to do DD's this year. I haven't
been able to attend in the past but I have heard that it is a
great event. I will be trailering down from Rochester NY.
Here is another dual event in the general area which I have
ridden in the past: Quarry Run Dual Sport Trail Ride in Hancock,
NY Aug 2,3

rocky, rooty single track running through they hills. Knobbies

HAHA.... Hanc.ock got censored!
That ride KICKED my ass many many years ago. They put up a
warning on their sign up the year after I did it .... something
about not big bike friendly and NEW knobbie tires recommended.
All due to me!
Do not do Hanc.ock ride without NEW knobbie tires... or a suzuki
DR650 pig.
Regarding Durty Dabbers - let me know if anyone wants to meet up
and ride together. I have met the greatest folks there and many
a longtime friendships now.
ALSO trying to make it to Hatfield McCoy in either May, June or
July if anyone is interested in joining. Should be interesting
on the 690. The DRZ400 was great down there.

Truck11, I would be interested in meeting up at DD's.
I have a big trip planned to ride SouthEast Utah in May so I am
hoping to get some "warm up" rides in March and April.
A buddy and I are going to trailer as far south as we need to
get to some decent offroad but we haven't made any firm plans
yet.
The Quarry Run ride kicked my butt too and I was on a KLX250
with knobbies. I am impressed you even tried it with a DR650.

missed.
