Not done much today

I have packed another big box with MY bits and pieces of
ornaments and stuff. I used an older duvet and packed my China
and ancient ornaments in there so they are hopefully safe and
snug in the soft duvet :))))))))))))))) I perhaps need one more
box for the rest of my bits and pieces :)))))))))))
The bedroom wall looks so BARE now as does the living area
actually. I will take down and pack my glass photo pictures ...
carefully in a day or two :)

You have done so well, not long to go now. I went for a long
walk this morning down to the beach this morning and this
afternoon we tidied up the garden and checked it was all secure
ready for Bean, then we went and bought him a name tag and some
toys.

You are slowly but surely getting yourself organised and ready
to move Moira. It's amazing how bare a place can look without
ornaments and pictures on the walls.
It will be a long week for you Chris waiting to pick up Bean,
puppies are such time wasters [emoji7]
I will be going through and making sure we have everything ready
for our trip including getting all our medications sorted from
the chemist......that will cost a bloody fortune!!!!!!!

We are so lucky here we do not have to pay for prescriptions and
yes it’s going to be a long week

Gosh why will your and Robert's medications cost a fortune for
your holiday Darien ? I got my next 3 months supply on Friday
and they cost me $3 which was to get the ? ones cut in half
!!!!!
Thinking back once again.... we DID have to pay for
prescriptions in Aus. but we were not retired back then.....
NOT Old Age Pensioners :)
Same here Chris ...if we are pensioners anyway..... we do not
pay for prescriptions ... unless it is some special medication !

Robert and I are not on a pension and the average script costs
about $15 and that's if you buy the generic brands. I take about
12 meds per day, so that ads up. If you are on the pension you
pay half that until you get to a certain amount then they are
free. With me, I usually reach the government allotted money
about July and only pay half, but they have changed it this year
and I am still paying full cost.

Why are you not on an old age pension Darien? Would you get free
prescriptions then? In England you pay for prescriptions unless
you are on benefits/OAP or have an exemption certificate but in
Wales nobody pays for prescriptions. I’m glad Paul does not have
to pay as he takes 14 tablets a day.

I take 9 tablets a day.... that is 7 prescription pills and 2
extra that I buy ay the chemist :)))) Magnesium and Olive Leaf
extract pills :))
I think Darien cannot get the OAP as Robert still works
............or has money coming in from his business BUT Don't
quote me on that :)

You are right Moira, while Robert is bringing in a wage from his
business, we are not eligible for the pension. We are going to
the chemist today to get all our scripts made up for the trip,
it will cost a fortune!!!!!!!!

Can YOU not claim that you have NO money coming in ? Is there
not some way around this ???? [emoji170] You have both worked
hard over the years :(
