Sian has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I feel so sorry
for her and Mathew, I have been trying to reassure them and to
make them remain positive, they have not said anything to the
girls yet.
Kate and Steve are happy back in Glenelg, I’m fine apart from
the usual aches and pains, the style on my eye took ages to
clear and is still slightly there, so it’s made it difficult for
me to spend time here. I hope you girls are ok x

Just had a message from Sian, her consultant phoned to say she
needs more tests as they think it may be lupus rather than MS.

Sad to read about poor Sian but hopefully it is Lupus... that
would be easier to cope with rather than MS ?

are not getting the diagnosis correct and making Sian WORRY more

Lovely to read that Kate and Steve are back in Glenelg and
happy to be there :)
All good here so far ... still stuffed up now and again ...
Winter ! That Stye sounds awful and such a chore especially in
your eye and having it for so long :(

I don’t know which is the lesser of two evils really, I’m
ashamed to say I don’t know enough about lupus compared to MS, I
was wondering if it’s hereditary as doesn’t Kylie have it as
well as you Darien?
I hope you soon feel better Moira, Kate has been full of cold in
Australia and said she’ll be glad to see summer arrive.

Both Lupus and MS are autoimmune diseases and both are as bad as
each other, I wouldn't wish either on my worse enemy. It can be
difficult to diagnose both as well as they can and do display
the same symptoms, usually an MRI brain scan will diagnose MS
with lesions on the brain, but again, every MS patient displays
different symptoms. It took years for my sister Maree to be
diagnosed with MS and it took years to diagnose me with Lupus.
Any autoimmune disease is hereditary and my family have many
variations of it, even my Mum.

I am glad I Am not a Nurse !!!!!!!!! I don't know how people
can cope with this kind of stuff

You have not mentioned your Lupus recently Darien ....is it
manageable ? Also how is Maree doing nowadays ?

If you are diagnosed with any disease you just have to learn to
live with it, no good wallowing in self pity about it, even
though we do have "Oh woe is me." moments :)
My Lupus is ok I still get minor flares and then I increase my
prednisone for a few days until the worst of it is over. Stress
can bring in a flair as can any illness. It is what it is.

PS Maree is doing as well as can be expected, she is trying
some new meds at the moment, but they are making her ill, so I
believe she has stopped them. There are very few meds Maree can
take, he body doesn't like them, but she has always been like
that [emoji19]

Of course you DO learn to live with any disease ... only thing
you can do most of the time [emoji170]
I do remember a long time ago you told us about Maree and her
not being able to take and manage lots of different meds.
