School rugby

Tomorrow Jack is playing rugby in his Whanganui Under 18 school
team ..... In Palmerston North ( about an hour drive South from
here ) Bonnie has to take him and Greta wants to go with Mummy
...leaving about 07:30AM !!!!!! Good luck I say. Jack and his
mate are the smallest / shortest / youngest in the team !!
Cash has his game here in Waverley thank goodness so we .. me or
John have to take him down the road into Waverley Rugby ground
about 09:30 AM . OK then he plays one game against Huntley (
Private school in Marton where Dan went for 2 years 11-12 back
in the olden days ! ) at 10am and another against Hunterville
at 11:30am ( A small town South and inland from Marton )
Cash does not play full time rugby in his age group ! I think
his games are 15 minute each way with an interval of 5 minutes
:)))))))))))

That's the problem with sport events as the kids get older, they
play further away as more teams involved etc. I remember when
the boys were playing, one would be close by and the other ages
away!!!! As they got older, I would only go to one a year and if
the got into the finals, I hated watching them as it was so
rough and the parents would scream out and swear etc [emoji34]

Well it was a lovely day here weather wise apart from the odd
shower of rain and I took Cash for his games and he asked me to
stay and watch ......... so I did ... except when it did rain
hard for 10 minutes but luckily I was parked where I could still
see the first game :) They lost badly to Huntley in the rain but
their other game on the same pitch later they won easily with
Cash scoring 5 Tries :)))))))))) He was good :) A good ball
kicker too !!!!!!!!!!! They play for 20 minutes non stop with no
break.... then the end of the match !
Bonnie, Jack and Greta got back from PN around 3pm ... Jack's
team won one game just ....and lost one game and Jack got
flattened a couple of times by bigger boys ...boys ????? But he
is OK :)
I would not like watching Jack playing .. the older teams play
proper rough rugby but Cash's age they play easier games .....
!!! NO kicking over the posts just getting over the goal line
with the ball !! PASS :)
Thankfully none of the parents watching here in Waverley were
LOUD or swearing people BUT I do know what you mean :(

Well done to Cash playing so well, shame they lost the first
game though.
That's why I didn't watch them play as they older and bigger, so
rough!!!!!

Today Bonnie put up some pics of Jack and his games but
HELP..... I am glad I did not go watch them play and some of her
comments ...... well I would have been on the field and taken
Jack OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have done that once or twice with Matt and Dan back in the
olden days :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I saw the photos you took of Cash, but not the ones Bonnie took
of Jack, I will have to go and have a look when I am finished on
here.

I have no idea why as I thought you were a friend of Bonnie and
could see her photos on HER page ? I Just looked up on Bonnie's
FB page and she did not put them on there so it must have been
only on the family one !!! Sorry my mistake ! NOT that the pics
were especially good anyway ...Jack wise ;)
