On a lighter note.....

There was a wee mouse running about here and Juno spied it first
and nearly got it ................. but it went under the sofa
!!
John saw it (He is INSIDE sitting ON the sofa on his computer ..
due to the wild weather and his NOT drinking for Lent ) ... I
suggested he move the sofa to get the wee mouse but he said NO
way !!
IT Is MY fault the mouse is in here because I have to have the
bedroom window open a wee bit over night ......never mind that
the living room sliding door is open during the day MOST of the
time PASS !.................. I think it is maybe my bedtime
then :))))))))))))

Haha the mouse more than likely came through the door not the
window

Did Juno wait by the sofa in case it came out again? I wouldn't
have been sitting on it knowing the mouse was underneath
it!!!!!!!!!!

PS We had a dead rat just below the bathroom window yesterday, I
could smell something awful and there were a lot of buzzing
flies about!!!!! So when Robert got home I told him about it and
he took it up the back and buried it under the leaves.

OH Gross, I cannot imagine the stink of a dead rat .... NOT that
my smelling ability is much good nowadays !!!!!!!!!!!! IT must
be awful !!!!!!
John got some mouse / rat trap stuff today to put on the mouse
traps we have ..... there are now two behind the settee and YES
Juno keeps going to sniff around the edges of the sofa but she
cannot get behind it !!!!!!!!!!!! John still sits on the sofa
reading his book or on his laptop of an evening :)
John did all this last year too .......... about the same time
of the year and we did end up with a couple of poor mice being
caught in the traps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AH Chris ... we just have smaller windows high up off the ground
in the granny flat along the back and side but in front along
the deck we have Triple Sliding window / doors in the lounge and
double sliding window /doors in the bedroom SO anyone or
anything can get in it they are left open !

I had a rat in the garden during the summer after the bird food,
so no more feeding the birds because I do not like the thought
of a rat about.

We get a lot of water rats here, but this one looked like a
domestic one as it was nearly white in colour!! I don't like the
thought of rats around either, but they are and we have rat
baits put down every year when we have the house sprayed for
insects etc.

Too gross to even think about !!! The wee mouse trap behind the
settee was empty but NO mouse trapped and NO food left on the
trap !

It's what happens no matter where you live really, there will
always be rats and mice around.

This rat was a clever little bugger, I moved the bird feeding
station to the bottom of the garden about a foot from the hedge,
the rat went under the hedge and then popped his head out of the
hedge right opposite the feeding station and jumped onto it! I
also saw him one morning chasing a little robin away
