My topic seems to have been locked so cannot reply on it, Eifion
is not a psych nurse, he was a general nurse and he finally
retired in October, he’s 73 now but he did enjoy his work and it
got him out and about but the technology of nursing today just
got too much for him so he’s packed it in. Wonder why my topic
was locked?

I have now unblocked your topic and I have no idea why it was
blocked, but it must have been done accidentally by either Moira
or myself, being admins we are the only ones who can I believe.
Eifion is the same age as Robert and Robert still works, but
only for about 2-3 hours a day, it keeps him busy as he gets
bored at home.What does Eifion do to fill in his time?

fiddling as my computer was messing about..... I saw your post

AH I was getting muddled up AGAIN.... Eifion is / was a General
Nurse :) 73 year old and he should be retired !!!!!!
I do read how Nurses in the UK are moaning and complaining about
work arrangements, long hours etc They had a strike recently
... did they not ???????
I suppose Robert works a few hours to keep in touch with things
:))))))))))))))

There are little boxes at the bottom that you can click on to
block, move etc, so they must have been hit. Not to worry all
sorted now.

Haha yes all unblocked now, I think the only reason Eifion
carried on working was it was keeping him occupied, I hope he
doesn’t become isolated now, I know Mathew and Kate worry about
him as he has been doing odd things lately, he doesn’t lock his
front door because he worries that he will get locked out but he
doesn’t lock it at night when he’s home either, Steve has
checked his lock and he said there is nothing wrong with it. We
also noticed he no longer locks his car either and when we
queried him about it he said the lock was broken but we know it
wasn’t, he now doesn’t like driving on the expressway and will
only drive country roads he knows. We thought he was getting
confused so he had an appointment last year with a consultant at
the memory clinic who said there’s nothing wrong with his
memory, I think maybe it’s just he gets very anxious. Kate took
him to join the library when she was here and he has been going
there so Kate is happy about that.

I'm sorry to hear that Eifion is having a few problems, how old
is he now? If it is his anxiety, then perhaps he needs to either
see someone about it or get some meds to help him?!
How are Kate and Mathew? I hope they are coping and feeling much
better?

Ah poor Eifion but I would imagine it is living and being alone
that is his problem in his old age

I see today that Kate put up a few more of her lovely photos of
their travels :) Have they settled better back in Aus. nowadays
?

I think Mathew is still feeling low, he’s not spoken for a few
days, Kate is ok but no they don’t like Brisbane and wanted to
move in July when their lease was up be it here in the uk or
back to South Australia but now they have had an email from
their landlord asking them to break the lease so they can sell
but they know they won’t get a 6 month lease in Brisbane and
they don’t want to take on another 12 month one, also it’s the
cost of moving right now, of course they can refuse to break
their lease, it’s just an added worry for them now.
As for Eifion, yes he’s lonely but that’s his fault I am sick
and tired of feeling guilty for leaving him, he will never
acknowledge the fact me and Paul are married and have been
together for 16 years, he stalks me on Facebook and likes every
photo I put up so long as Paul is not in it, if I put a status
up that has anything to do with Paul he ignores it and yet
anything else he likes. I am part of a community group for rhos
on sea where I live and last night we were discussing the state
of the roads and the local council want suggestions as to what
road to re surface next and I suggested one, this morning I
notice Eifion has not only joined the group but liked my comment
when he doesn’t even know the road I was talking about! It’s
just weird. Anyway I’m off to get my hair done this morning,
will try and get back here later.

Thankfully if Kate and Steve are on a bonded lease, they
shouldn't have to move, unless there is something in the
contract that states otherwise. I suppose there is a reason they
can't move to SA now? I can't say as I blame them not liking
Brisbane, but then I don't Qld at all!!!!!
As for Eifion, he has had a long time to come to the realisation
that your marriage is over and he should be getting on with his
own life. He is not your problem, he is an adult and certainly
old enough to look after himself!!!!!
