Wild, wet and windy !

IT was foul all last night and this morning it was windy and
pouring down earlier BUT we needed to go to Whanganui for John
to go make an appt. for his eye thing as he could not make the
appt. on his phone ... NO reception here in the country fields
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When we got to Whanganui the rain stopped and out came the sun
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did some food shopping in Pak N Save but the place was chokka
and no parking on the main street ... just odd spots in the
supermarket car parks so I never even got to look at any other
shops for any wee pressies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John now has an appt. tomorrow In WHANGANUI again for his eye
test thing !!!!!!!!!!!! SO I think maybe I will also go again
and see what I can find !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just heard from Matt that he will be here around 8PM tomorrow
evening ................. same as last time .. last Christmas

It will be even busier today going into Whanganui!!!! It would
be better to get there early, but no doubt you won't as you get
up much later.
Does Pay N Save have a toy section or something for the little
ones? If so, that would save you having to go anywhere else.

IT was wild and windy last night and it is a bit wild and windy
tonight too !
Went back to Whanganui today and it was perhaps NOT as busy as
yesterday ..... because I DID find a parking space so I could go
to one or two shops on the main street and John could go get his
eye test done in Spec Savers !!!!!!!!!!!
NOT That I bought much even at Countdown supermarket ......errr
now Woolworth supermarket ! Pak n Save does have a bit of a toy
dept. but not much .. !
I have enough stuff now for Christmas .... no pressies but my
trifle is almost made, just needs custard and cream added
tomorrow morning and I did get a packet of Scottish Shortbread
biscuits just to be different and also some salad stuff for the
Christmas lunch tomorrow :)
Got a ' message ' from Matt earlier this evening ... he is not
coming until Christmas Day now ... leaving the East early
tomorrow morning ....PASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am beginning to wonder, with all your bad weather, if it's a
good idea to come over in March!!!!!!!!
At least you were able to get parking and get what you needed
done.
We went out for tea last night with Kylie, Garry, Liam and Chloe
last night. It was nice. Kylie and Garry will be picking us up
and taking us up to Christene's today.

Today is Christmas Day and it is NOT COLD but it is not warm
either .......... and it is windy too. 20C :)
WE shared Lunch with 15 adults and 2 children ... Baby Luca and
Sadie !!! It was mainly Corey's wife's family :)))))))))
Lovely people and we had some lovely chats :)
All catered for up in Dan's house !!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOO much
food and I Did take up my trifle and brought half of it
back..... plus a salad ...still up there with 3/4 others :)))
And a packet of Shortbread biscuits that I left in the bag
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT was all yuum and heaps of food !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went
up at 1pm and came back down here at 5:30PM !!!! Full up
!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must be bed time soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you enjoyed your tea out yesterday and will enjoy your
Christmas feast at Christene's today :) Beats cooking :)))))))))

We had a lovely day and Christene and Billy put on a lovely
lunch and we were surprised and happy to see Alex, Sammi and the
girls there too [emoji7] There were 12 adults and 4 children. It
was an emotional day actually as everyone kept telling me how
happy they were to see me there after the scare I gave them all.
Why was it all at Dan's place and I assume Corey must have a key
to the house? I'm glad you had a lovely day and of course ate
too much [emoji4]
The weather was kind to us yesterday, only about 22C, humidity a
little high, but we had a lovely cool breeze, same today.

AH well at least you KNEW all the people at your lovely
Christmas lunch :))))))))))))))))) I Knew Corey and Alex and the
babes. None of the other people .... until I got chatting ( and
I did forget that I had no bottom teeth ) !!!!!! PASS :)
Yes Corey does have a key to Dan's house ( I Knew that and I
Know where it is hidden ) and Alex's parents and younger sister
( the sister has ... ? she is slow and does not speak much ? )
and her other sister ( Plus her flat mate ) and two younger
brothers plus her MUM .... who looked about 30 ish !!!! and her
dad :) All nice people :) Plus the aunt and her partner .... !
COOL breeze, it was blowing madly last night and earlier today
then it did ease off but it is still COLD !
Yes My blanket is on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was Matt allowed to go then?
Yes I knew everyone, there was also Billy's family there, his
mum, his dad and his partner and his brother, all known to me. I
don't like going somewhere where I don't know the people, until
I start a conversation with them [emoji4]
It was cold here yesterday and it's cold this morning too!!!!
They had SNOW down in Tasmania on Christmas Day...........I knew
we should have gone down there [emoji30]

Nobody dared to stop Matt going .... NOT That I even knew he was
supposedly banned then !!!! BUT Corey made sure there was no
problem as he stuck with Matt and so did John...... NO problems
and no hassles :))))))))
