Yes Helen was here on holiday and we were supposed to meet up in
Burwood, our old stomping ground, but I was in ICU at the time,
so we missed meeting up. Oh well, you never know I just might
fly to Greece after all!!!!!!!
I suppose your feeling is probably right, especially as Maureen
has been so ill and in a hospice. You can always keep hoping
though. [emoji171]

No I have never been and I do have Greek heritage through my
Mum's Dad. It's just the long flight that puts me off these
days. Perhaps I might just go over though in the next few years,
we shall see as it's always been a place I wanted to see.

AH YES that is why I can connect you with Greece :) IT would be
interesting for you to visit and it is lovely especially Athens
and of course the lovely Islands :)))))

Mum's family came from Athens and Ithaca, so I would like to see

I didn't know it was an island of legends, I just looked it up
and found this;

S. Moira and I went there... going by boat from Bari in Italy to
Athens but the boat stopped off in Ithaka and we loved the look
of it ....... so we stayed for a few days then got another boat
to Athens :) I have been looking at the map of Greece and so
many place names are familiar to me :) WE did also stop off at
the Island of Corfu on our way back to Italy ... en route back
to Spain for more work in Benny's Bar :)))))
I will be awake all night now thinking back

It was so much easier for you when you were living close by in
England, if I were closer I would have seen so much by
now......but it is what it is and there is still time to do so

Yes of course England was close to Europe BUT Back in those days
' normal ' .... people just did not go on holidays abroad like
they did in later years as it was all so Expensive back then
!!!!! European holidays were for the Rich !!! Hitchhiking was
cheaper :)))))))))))))))))))) IT used to cost a fortune to even
get on the ferry from Dover in Kent to Calais in France
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES I DID spend a lot of time thinking last night .... and when
I awoke as normal ... around 4am ... I was thinking again then I
did drop off again till around 6:45am took my Thyroxine pill and
was thinking about my hitchhiking days and I DO have some pics
......... but I fell asleep again till after 9am
:)))))))))))))))))))))) Nice dreams :)))))))))))
