That's the problem with trying to buy presents for each other,
if we want something we usually just get it for ourselves, so it
makes it hard to buy for each other. I told Robert yesterday not
to get me anything as I don't want nor need anything.

IT was warm today and I drove to HAwera this arvo as I was bored
but most of the OP shops were closed ..... I forgot they DO not
all open on the weekend and I have said that before
!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rarely DO go shopping on a Saturday
       !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did got to the op shop next to The Warehouse and it was like
an oven inside and I DO remember it happening last year in there
IF it was HOT Outside ... the oldie woman on the counter was
sweating cobs !! I could not even stay to look around ! PASS.
I did go to the Warehouse and got myself another book to colour
in... plus 4 more small square canvasses to paint :) Then on to
       Pak n Save. :)

At least you were able to get some things to keep you occupied
       for a while [emoji171]
It was so hot here yesterday, it got to 42C!!!!!!! Awful day and
there was a huge fire down the lower end of the coast, 12 homes
destroyed [emoji22] It came out of nowhere fanned by the winds,
thankfully people were able to get out, but they have lost
       everything, that would be terrible.

Bugger 42C !!!!!!! I could not cope with those temps :(
I think it got to maybe high 22C today as I could not even go
outside to do some weeding ..... AND NO wind either !!!!!!!! SO
I stayed inside and lay on my bed with my book
       :))))))))))))))))))))
I read about all those awful fires and the loss of all those
houses and I DID have to look up the names of those places to
make sure you were not close to them .......I see today there
are still flames around places in NSW !!!!!

I hate hot days like that too, it's just too hot to do anything
but stay inside with the air con on. Yesterday was much cooler,
thank goodness and today isn't going to be too bad either.
There are quite a few fires burning around, it's going to be a
bad year for it I believe as everything is so dry.

That is what I have been reading too about fires in NSW etc !
WE also have this one ( by the ski slopes in near Mt Ruapehu
       our tallest mountain )
A large vegetation fire near Tongariro National Park is
estimated to have burnt 322 hectares.
Crews were first alerted to the fire around 1.10pm.
At least 60 firefighters, 16 fire trucks and helicopters are
       fighting the blaze.
16 fire vehicles, 60 firefighters and nine helicopters are now
fighting the blaze, RNZ reported, saying it was now at 320
       hectares.
       The fire is still uncontained.
Not too many people live there in houses tho !!!!

It surprises me that you have a fire with all the rain you have
had!!!!!!!! I hope they can put it out. I feel so sorry for
firefighters, fighting fires in all that heat and most of them
       are volunteers!!

I agree about the fires and rain but there are apparently one or
two still around BUT It was hot today ..... not too sure what
but it was around 28/30C and I had to strip off almost except I
can not find my over the boob dresses from last year
       !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sigh, I might have to go buy some 'elasticated top' material
and make some new ones !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also I do see on the news that you do still have fires burning
in a few places in NSW :(

There are quite a few fires burning in NSW I believe. We had
quite a wet Winter so not a lot of back burning was able to be
done, that means as the Summer heats up there is a lot of
undergrowth to spread the fires [emoji22]
It's cooler today here and we are supposed to get some rain
tonight. I hope so as we need it.

Hawera .... in my shorts and tee shirt !!!!!!!!!
