That will be nice for you to have Christmas lunch with someone
and no cooking for you, a bonus [emoji4]
Sadie is only about 2, isn't she? She will love any little gift
at that age.
Whenever we have had Christmas in the UK it was always a hot
lunch with turkey, which I don't like, and all the trimmings.

That is a UK Christmas meal :) And it is usually cold or
freezing weatherwise so a hot Christmas meal is needed :)
Sadie was 2 last month :) So I will look for something for her
.. maybe arty stuff :))))))))))))))))))

Of course it's more appropriate to have a lovely roast dinner at
Christmas in the cold weather, but totally impractical here in
the warmer weather.
A lot of places here have "Christmas in July" dinners with a hot
roast dinner with all the trimmings, I suppose so people can see
what it's like. I have never been to one as I have had a
Christmas in the cold.

When we went up to the Blue Mountains in July for Kylie's 50th
this year, the hotel were putting on a Christmas dinner, but it
was booked out, so we didn't go. It was certainly cold enough up
there to have enjoyed it too!!!!!!!!!

Oh what a shame you missed out... I do have to say that
Christmas here or in Aus is NOT the same as one in England or
Scotland !

Yes it certainly isn't the same, the heat here and NZ is a bit
off putting. Mind you, I still haven't had a white
Christmas.........maybe one of these days [emoji7]

I've had a few White Christmases over the years, lots when I was
a kid in UK and one or two in my travelling days in Switzerland,
Holland and Austria :))))))))))) Not too sure that I could cope
with them nowadays !!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to have one white Christmas, but I can't see it
happening now. The very thought of that long flight makes me
shudder!!!!!!! Mind you, I don't think my body would like the
cold anyway any more. Getting old sucks!!!!!!!!
