Foul weather again !

IT is supposed to be Spring here and these last couple of days
it has been quite wild and windy and today it was supposed to
more calm and less wind.
We went to Whanganui this morning and it was chilly and cloudy
and windy but NO rain :) John needed a hair cut and it was
pension day so we went food shopping too. John likes one
particular Charity OP shop and he bought a Vinegar jar and a
couple of books :))))))))))))
Anyway it was warm but windy and I had to take off my jumper
.............. THEN it quite suddenly got cold and wild and
windy and down came the rain. WE just got home in time for the
worst wild winds and rain here in Waverley ! I unpacked the food
stuffs and my odd arty bits and went under the covers in my bed
... fully clothed !
The trees were blowing madly outside and bits and pieces were
being blown along the deck !
I see the wild winds and rain have been on the news but
thankfully now at 10:20PM it is not SO bad. Must be my bed time
again :))))))))))))) Phew :)

Weather chaos to last the week...........
Severe winds and heavy rain have been disrupting motorists,
flights and schools across the country.
The weather has been horrific, but it could even get worse on
Thursday.
Fire crews have been battling multiple fires across the country
as high winds fan the flames.
Air NZ flights in and out of Wellington were paused for a few
hours, with a lot of wobbly take-offs and landings since.
Orange strong wind warnings linger in the lower North Island and
the top of the South Island.
Thousands of people in Wairarapa are expected to be without
power overnight.

My goodness but you have copped a lot of foul weather this past
year!!!!! I wonder if and when it will ever stop. I don't blame
you for climbing into your bed [emoji171]
I hope the weather improves by next March!!!! We will be booking
our flights soo, I just have to get a copy of Deb's passport to
buy the tickets and I will get that when I see her tomorrow.

Well as I said in an earlier post .... today was fine.....a bit
cool and windy but NO rain and I was able to sit outside on the
deck .... to read the paper and do the crossword and Suduku :) I
DID have to have my jumper on but overall it was fine and I did
some painting too !
BUT the forecast for tomorrow is not good once again !
Wellington has it bad today and tomorrow it is supposed to be
even worse ... hopefully it will not get as far as us further
North !!!!!!!!!!!!
It is Spring now and sometimes Summer is better
:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Today here will be much cooler, thank goodness. At least you had
a bit of a break from your dreadful weather.
We are supposed to get rain all next week, but we will see as
they have forecasted rain this last week too, but we haven't had
any. I hope it does rain next week so I can sow some grass seed
out the front, the rain would water it all in nicely and save us
doing it [emoji4]

WE had ONE DAY rain free and now you can have our rain for
nothing as we have torrents !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND WILD WIND !
The wind whipping across the lower North and South Islands on
Thursday has been described by many as the worst they have ever
seen.
MetService has reported gusts up to 110kph in Christchurch City
and 120kph in residential Wellington and further North.
Gusts are even stronger in exposed places, exceeding 130kph in
the hills around both cities. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh WOW!!!!!! That is very strong winds and they can do so much
damage too. I hope your weather gets better for you soon. Where
is it all coming from??

I suppose it is coming from the Antarctic .... from South
anyway. I have not read exactly from WHERE it IS coming !!!!
Last night overnight I could hear the trees swaying and the wild
winds blowing then the rain pelting down every now and again
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the Granny flat rattled now and again
!!!!!!!!!!
I MIGHT sleep tonight as so far .............. it is quite
calm!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was BETTER :) Some sunshine and just a wee bit of wind and
NO rain so far :))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I said in an earlier
post how I DID go shopping to HAwera and it was cloudy but not
too cold. BUT the forecast for the next few days IS more rain
and wild winds PASS !!
I NEED to move to NSW or Queensland !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe how bad your weather has been for months
now!!!!! I guess you could move back here to Aus, but where
could you afford to buy now that your money is tied up in the
granny flat??
I hope you slept better last night and it wasn't so wild for you

It was not too bad last night and I Did sleep eventually :)
We need Dan and Bonnie etc to move too and sell this place so we
can get our money back............... other wise ??????????????
Did not win the lotto tonight either !!!!!!! But Annie says we
can live with her :)))))))))))))))
