Do you have to pay to see your Dr? I don't, but that's because I
have so many chronic conditions and neither does Robert, but the
       girls have to pay.
I do remember you causing a ruckus while trying to get that
card. I don't have a Pension Card, so I have to pay full price
       for my prescriptions etc.
You should try and apply again and see if you are able to get
one, but I do assume you had more than $1,000 in your account to
       be knocked back, surely!!!!!!

We don't pay for our monthly prescriptions, .. I think its an
       age thing :) Over 70 :)
With the new Chemist here in Waverley we DO have to pay $5 to
get the prescriptions done .... once a month ! AND we pay $5 to
the Whanganui Main GP Clinic to send the prescriptions to the
Waverley Chemist every 3 months !!!!!
Got Dan's Dog food money in the bank ATM !!!!!!!!! Pass ! We did
have to supply a copy of our Bank A/c for the last 3 months !
If we see our regular GP we pay $10 ... if it is a Specialist or
whatever we PAY their price !

I think it's a disgrace that the government humiliates the
elderly the way they do!!! It's the same here, having them pry
into everything!!!!!!! It's because so many abuse the system,
but the elderly should always be respected as we have paid our
taxes and are entitled to whatever 'gifts' the government
       have!!!!!!
So you pay the chemist $5 to dispense your prescriptions? Is
that for the cost of the script or for them just handing them
over? If the latter, that is disgraceful!!!!
I'm glad to hear that Dan is at least paying for the dogs food
       as that is not cheap!!

I agree with all you have written :)
YES we pay The chemist $5 to have the pills etc all put in
separate containers and in a bag !!! You have to go into the
chemist and ask for your next prescription and then they will do
it ...... and you have to go back later to pick it up ...Well
thats what I DO as my monthly prescription consists of 7
different pills and the ?? have to be cut !!!!!

What if you don't want your pills put in separate containers and
just want them in the boxes or bottles they originally come in?
I get my scripts made up when I need them and I am on more than
7 per month, they all come in in their original packaging. If
they were put into different pill bottles, how would I know what
I am taking??? No I don't trust that system at all!!!!!!

MY Escitalopram and Aspirin ARE in their own boxes .....but the
month's supply of every other pill is in a separate plastic
container. 30 Pills ONLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They type and
sticker the pill name and dosage on each tiny container !!!!!!
       SO much extra work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT EVEN 31 pills daily for 7 months of the year........ just 30
per month and YES I have complained ! I get them every month
and have to RE ORDER them every 3 months !!
This system is .....Due to SO MANY people overdosing and yes I
know I Have said this before :) Bloody ridiculous !

I know here you can't get more than one script made up for a
months supply and when you need it remade for the next month, it
has to be within a certain period otherwise you can't get it
made up until the next due date. That too is because people were
overdosing. How stupid do you need to be to accidentally
       overdose on your meds??!!!!!
At least I get all mine in their boxes untampered with!!!

Exactly .....SOME people MUST be stupid BUT to blame every
person by making the monthly dosage thing common now is
       ridiculous.
SO if you get yours in their boxes..... do you get just 1
       month's supply ?

Yes, in the boxes I get there is either 28-30 tablets in most
boxes, some have more, like Lyrica and my BP meds Minipress.
I don't believe it's safe or hygienic to have them dispensed
into pill bottles and wouldn't allow it!!!! My meds are in
sealed boxes and the pills themselves are blisters, untampered
with and safer in my humble opinion.
