I didn't know they had slippers as well, I must look into it. I
wore my new sandals yesterday when we went down to Sydney to see
the specialist and they were so comfy [emoji4]
I don't have scales either, my Dr weighs us to keep an eye on
our weight.
Yes I went to a Podiatrist a few years ago, didn't think much of
him, so I hope this new one is better. I don't know if it will
help, but I guess I will just have to wait and see.

How did Robert get on at the specialist office ?
Last time I got weighed at the GP's I had lost a couple of Kilos
only ! Weeks ago !
Not a podiatrist fan myself BUT If needed ... then try them out
!

You will have read on and seen how Robert went at the specialist
[emoji4]
I'm not a fan of podiatrists either, my left foot rolls out to
the left badly these days due to arthritis. My Dr seems to think
they can help, so I'll give them a go and see. I have a Care
Plan from my Dr so it shouldn't cost me anything for 5 visits I
think it is.

The Care Plan that I am on this time is for the podiatrist given
to me by my GP to cover the cost of my seeing the podiatrist.
Professional GP Care Plans
These referrals entitle patients to 5 consultations with
nominated Allied Health Professionals. Each of the 5 visits will
be subsidised by Medicare (there may be some gap fees by some
providers – please check yourself).
I have also had them for having physiotherapy done on my back
several times. They are given out to patients with chronic
conditions.

The GP service in Freo. where I went also had other Consultants
there for various ailments like Psychiatrists, Physios and also
Opticians if I remember rightly !!! Once again I will be

Yes we do have Medicare system and also a ........ Community
Services Card
The Community Services Card is a credit card-sized plastic
document issued to New Zealanders earning low incomes or state
benefits to verify their eligibility to discounts on various
community service…!
GPs etc and I Might get free teeth !!
I Applied for it when we came here because we did have moving
costs etc etc BUT we had to supply bank a/c and we did have
$1000 in the saving a/c and I said it was for possible funeral
costs BUT we did not qualify because of that money !!! I had a
rather loud argument with the 'not so young' woman in the
office and I got chucked out !!!!! I Did tell you the story ...
maybe a year or more ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Had forgotten all about that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bugger !
HMm maybe I should apply again !
