Hi

Sorry not been here, both me and Paul have had a rotten cold,
both on the mend now, we should have been going to Tenby
tomorrow but we have had to cancel because we found out we had a
leak under the floor in the new bathroom, couldn’t get hold of
out originally plumber on Friday evening but luckily my nephew
knew on who came round, he had to go under the house via a trap
door in the lounge, he has isolated the leak and stopped it,
came back Saturday morning, went back under the house, he’s had
to order a new part for a pipe, he reckons it’s been leaking
since the bathroom was put it, we have no hot water at the
moment but we have cold water, heating and the electric shower
upstairs so we are ok but the stress of it all has made my
anxiety go through the roof!He will come back Wednesday and will
complete the work, I am furious with our original plumber who
has not responded to our calls. Because Paul is off work now
this week we will try and have some days out locally, we do have
a hotel booked for Thursday just outside of Shrewsbury so
hopefully we can still do that.

Glad to hear you and Paul are feeling better after your colds
but Bloody hell.... Chris no wonder you are at your wits end and
stressed with the leak under the bathroom floor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Hope the original plumber who did your new bathroom originally
gets the bill for fixing it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job your
nephew knew a decent plumber !
Sad too that you will not get away on your holiday but enjoy the
time together and try and relax (((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Chris and Paul ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

That's disgraceful!!!! I hope you are able to get on to your
plumber and send him the bill that he has caused you to pay!!!!
Such a shame too that you have had to cancel your time away in
Tenby, did you have a hotel booked there? If so, I hope you get
your money back. Hopefully you can get away to Shrewsbury at
least.
Sorry to hear that you and Paul have not been well, rest up and
take care ((((((((((Chris & Paul))))))))))

I hope you are feeling a bit better ((((((((((Moira))))))))))
Why does John give you Valium?
Have you had a full blood count done yet? Not just for your
thyroid, but for everything, I feel that is what you need at the
moment [emoji171]

I get 10 Valium every 3 months via the doctor for my panic
attacks ..... along with my other meds. If I start fretting
about sleeping or .... anything John tells me to take a Valium
to settle my nerves and help me sleep !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my bloods done 2/3 weeks ago and apart from the Vit B12
jab that was due .. the results all looked OK !
I feel better today and I did eventually sleep OK last night
with the help of the Valium even if I DID wake up 5 times
!!!!!!!!!!! Due to Juno snoring and wandering and John snoring
and the wind and rain belting down on the granny flat !!!!!!!!!!
PASS !
I think I am missing out on proper / decent sleep even IF I DO
have a nana nap in the afternoon sometimes and that wee nap is
often a good one ... for an hour !!!!!!!!!!!!
But over all I feel more normal today despite the wild weather
!!!

First of all we are now all sorted, the plumber was brilliant
and charged very little, as for the original one we still have
not been able to contact him, I would never use him again.
(((((Moira))))) I can understand how you feel with the anxiety
etc and it’s good you have Valium to fall back on, I was never
an anxious person but I do feel since menopause I get depressed,
I suffer from anxiety and have panic attacks, I have been a lot
worse since covid too, I also worry about Kate too as she
suffers the same and I wonder how bad she will be when she goes
through meno 😞

I didn't realise you were given Valium!! I'm glad you have them
though and take one when needed. You should get into the habit
of having a cup of camomile tea every night before bed, it does
work to calm you down and you will find you will end up sleeping
better with a calmer mind ((((((((((Moira)))))))))) and
((((((((((Chris))))))))))
I'm glad all your plumbing problems have been fixed, but annoyed
for you that you can't get a hold of the original one though
[emoji34] You pay people good money and place your trust in
them, it leaves a sour taste in one's mouth!!!

I was also never an anxious person either Chris ....... bugger
I traveled the world ... hitch hiking etc ..... !!!!
I have only been taking the odd Valium since peri meno !!!!!
Thats when I first started getting panic attacks !!!! But Once
or twice I have had to take them regularly for a few weeks them
slowly taper off them !!! Once in Dunedin I remember .... when
John had flown back to UK for his brother Big Frank's funeral.
Some memory !!!!!
Once in Perth too but why ?? I cannot remember !
Now I just take one on the odd occasion when I do feel a bit of
a panic attack coming on ! NO reason... it just happens !
YOU Have told me to drink Camomile tea in the evenings too
Darien and I DO Have some in the cupboard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I
DO every now and again BUT I always need to go to the loo ... in
the middle of the night IF I Drink liquid so late in the evening
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to hear now that you have got your plumbing stuff sorted
Chris and how lovely to find a decent plumber :)
As for the rubbish one, pass the word around !!!!

I have always had an anxious/nervous disposition, it got worse
during meno, but I have calmed down a bit now. It has been a
long time since my last panic attack, but I still do get anxious
over things and jump at the slightest thing.
