The Zugspitze, at 2,962 m above sea level, is the highest peak
of the Wetterstein Mountains and the highest mountain in
Germany. It lies south of the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in
Bavaria, and the Austria–Germany border is on its western
summit.
I think my memory is playing tricks on me as the Zugspitz
Mountain is not in Switzerland it is in Germany in Bavaria ....
but YES I did work up there in the Zugspitz Hotel !!!! After a
month working there ( no English spoken except for an American
girl and me ) I got a job down the mountain in Garmisch in a
German Hotel . I was also the only English speaker apart from
the owner :)
Thinking about it I AM still sure the Zugspitze Hotel was in
Switzerland or on the Border back then !!!!!!!!!! 1969 /1970

I don't believe the borders of Switzerland and Germany have
changed, so it must be your memory playing tricks on you
[emoji4]
Could this be the one you are thinking of as it's in the Swiss
alps in Switzerland?

YES That WAS where the old hotel was situated !!!! Thats a new
hotel modernised or re done after I left. !!!!!!!! Same spot
with the train to the hotel !!!Lovely pictures :)
Never heard that hotel name before either ! Mind you it was 50
+years ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bugger I put up the wrong video..... When we left Amsterdam we
ended up in Sils Maria.... this is the first Swiss Hotel me and
my mate Irish Angela worked in..... in Sils Maria. The Hotel
Alpenrose ..... But again it was 55+ years ago ... and the hotel
has been upgraded now I see. I was a waitress and Angela was a
chambermaid :)

It looks like a lovely hotel and no doubt has been modernised.
What a beautiful area too!!!!!! It's a shame I won't get the
chance to see Switzerland and Europe in general, but it is what
it is now.

Switzerland was always my favourite European county .... I think

Yes you have mentioned how much you love Switzerland before and
I do envy you your wonderful trips around Europe.
I believe I have mentioned before that I had never thought of
travelling and seeing the world when I was young, I don't
believe it ever entered my head to be honest. I was too
interested in horses and animals, boys and the rest is history.

Hahahaha horses, animals and BOYS ??????????????? You do make
me chuckle :)
Having said that I met loads of .... errrr males on my trips and
could have married .... or even lived with a few of them ....
had I chosen to do so :))))))))))))) English, German, Swiss,
Italian and a few American of course :) But I went home and
met up with John again PASS !!!!!!!!!!!
